Are you on your own? i couldn't imagine going threw all that without my husband and i felt bad not being able to look after the boys but atleast there was someone else who could do it.
Fingers crossed they get to the bottom of it.
Thanks quintwins. Yes I'm on my own with the babies most nights while hubby is at work. I have relatives nearby so can call them if I need to. They will babysit while I go hosp next timeI reckon a visit back to the GP is in order with some fairly sharp words! Don't wait for the next attack. At least now you know what it is, you can manage your diet accordingly. It works for some people and not for others.
I went 5 days ago, that's when she gave me paracetamol. She's supposedly chasing the scan results from when I was pregnant. My regular doctor is back off holiday next week so will go see him instead

My girls are 11 week old and I have had 3 really bad attacks since having them. The last one being the worst. The 1st time I was on my own, it was 3am (my husband works nights), and I was in so much pain, the girls were screaming and I couldn't even lift them. I was writhing on the bed in pain. Luckily my Aunt lives in the same village so came over and called an ambulance. They put me on ecg and said all was fine it was a panic attack . I just got on with it as best I could the further 2 times it happened, albeit it in agony
I've been to docs all 3 times and this last time doc gave me paracetamol. I told her that I had a liver and gallbladder scan when I was pregnant as I had cholestasis and they found stones. She had no record of it on system and said she would check the results at hosp and get back to me. No idea how long that will take. Then she offered me gaviscon or ranitidine "even though it wont work cos they're for acid". Those were her words!!!
I absolutely dread going to sleep every night as that's when they occur and I feel so helpless with the babies each time they happen. Im a wreck. I know if it happens again I will have to call for an ambulance again cos they are that bad and I just cant deal with the pain anymore
Anyway, sorry for hijacking your thread!
You have my complete sympathy. I had my gall bladder removed a good few years ago due to stones and it was one of the worst pains I have ever felt. It took 6 months, numerous panick attacks and even chest x rays for me to get a diagnosis. My last attack left me rushed into hospital with pancretitis and jaundice as one of the stones had travelled. Spent a joyful week in hospital. Once I had my gall bladder removed everything returned to normal although I do on occasion still suffer from some phantom pains which are still quite sharp and stop me in my tracks but within a minute they've gone. My advice would be to keep pestering the doctor until someone listens.0 -
For those with gallstones - push and push to get the op to get your gallbladder whipped out! Trust me, the girl with the foot-long scar, to tell you keyhole surgery is better! (My gallstones were misdiagnosed as IBS for 18m+, then caused severe pancreatitis and pancreatic pseudocysts, all adding up to 5wks in hospital and much more major surgery than I originally needed) - PESTER PESTER PESTER!
And trust me, you have my sincerest sympathies, I felt like I was literally dying when I had gallstones xxOn the up

I was just curious as to the price of passata - Looks like Mr A still has it at 29p a carton but everywhere else seems to have put the price up.
I'm going to try and have a go at making a weekly plan for 2 people myself to see if I can do it. Will keep you posted.

I've noticed that when one supermarket has not raised the price of something and everyone else has, it's usually only a matter of time before they raise the price as well. If the passata is something you use regularly, it's probably worth stocking up.R.I.P. Bart. The best cat there ever was. :sad:0 -
Aldi passata is still 29p, but I have noticed even their prices are rising on a lot of their goods
but not as fast as in Asda, Sainsbury and Tesco.

Hi all. Thanks BB for the Super Six - looks promising.
About stuff going up. Last week Aldi packets of frozen chicken pieces were up from £1.59 to £1.69 but even worse this week - they hadn't got any. Thought I'd made a little 'find' in Tesco last week - 225g frozen chicken livers at 25p - none either this week . Realy messed the budget up as I bought two last week.Made ch.liver pate with one and a really delicious spag bol with the other - ah well !
