And mangoes and green leafy veggies but dairy products are the most easily absorbed calcium products, from what I have read. I eat those other things anyway and wouldn't want to take a chunk of calcium out of my diet by watering down the milk.

Besides, on a budget esp of £7 a week, milk is probably going to be your most value for money calcium as lots of those things would be prohibitive because of cost... cashew nuts, figs, sesame seeds etc

    :)
  • Hi,

I just had to say a huge thank you to everyone who has posted menu plans and recipes on this thread.

They have been amazing and so useful as we are on such a tight budget.

    Many thanks again!:T
  • Thank you for this thread.

Such lovely people have put in so much effort to provide all this useful info and it's invaluable. I will certainly be putting it to use. :D
Making mistakes is not the end of the world, though it often feels that way!
  • Oh I am getting angry now, but more than that hurt, that someone could take advantage of the lovely O'sers who spend their time helping others, It had honestly not crossed my mind that this could be a government mole or someone picking our brains and making money out of us .............It just stinks and makes me not want to help anymore

I want to say thank you, over the years this board has helped me a lot, with recipes, (came on today to find the tea bread recipe - which I lost in moving, got side tracked as usual! :D) and advice. Please don't stop over a few small minded petty individuals. Although I don't post, I do appreciate everything that you all do to help.
Thank You, you wonderful people. :T

  • Thanks, Butterfly Brain - I do mean to have a go at this, but things got really busy just lately and I'm having to re-schedule some things.
