Oh i seen a recipe for gnocchi awhile ago and i thought it looked so easy (this was in a tomatoe sauce) so i'm def gonna try that aswell.

Your plans are really good, are you veggie normally? And i feel for you i don't miss the days of being stuck on the sofa!!

Thanks :) Yes we are veggie. Still stuck here, managed to get up long enough to ruin my hobs, a barely used-yet dehydrator and have us all breathing in fumes that cannot be good for our lungs... in future, if I feel too tired to cook, I probably am and that's that :o

That £10 a week link you had was interesting. Wish she had a few more weeks up to peruse.

:rotfl: poor you, maybe next time you should listen to your body and take it easy :)

Well i've just done a meal plan on my dairy that came to less than £15 but there is 5 of us and it is relying highly on whoopsies that i already have, but i think it's very good going.

had mine out in 2007, but only after a year at least of agony and many trips to the Dr. Finally got results after going on holiday to Cyprus for a week and ending up in hospital on the last day, where I finally got diagnosed and had to spend another "weeks holiday" there because they wouldn't let me fly home. what a result, even though it was a very boring week on my own. not recommended tho'. but job done within 2 months of coming home.:j

  • Got to say everyone who helped do this thread is amazing.

I have just bought my new place, and like others want to become more frugal...no more dominos for me!

I will add my own additions later.

I have never ever planned a meal planner ever, so this will be fun.

Will be interesting if I can do the cooking for meal plans already on here.

  • Hi, I just wanted to say thank you so much for discussing your gallbladder problems. I just happened to stumble across this thread and this is exactly what I have been experiencing. In fact, I could have written quintwins post!

My girls are 11 week old and I have had 3 really bad attacks since having them. The last one being the worst. The 1st time I was on my own, it was 3am (my husband works nights), and I was in so much pain, the girls were screaming and I couldn't even lift them. I was writhing on the bed in pain. Luckily my Aunt lives in the same village so came over and called an ambulance. They put me on ecg and said all was fine it was a panic attack . I just got on with it as best I could the further 2 times it happened, albeit it in agony

I've been to docs all 3 times and this last time doc gave me paracetamol. I told her that I had a liver and gallbladder scan when I was pregnant as I had cholestasis and they found stones. She had no record of it on system and said she would check the results at hosp and get back to me. No idea how long that will take. Then she offered me gaviscon or ranitidine "even though it wont work cos they're for acid". Those were her words!!!

I absolutely dread going to sleep every night as that's when they occur and I feel so helpless with the babies each time they happen. Im a wreck :o. I know if it happens again I will have to call for an ambulance again cos they are that bad and I just cant deal with the pain anymore

Anyway, sorry for hijacking your thread!

Oh Cakes4brains i'm so sorry to heard about your pain, the problem is it measured by blood levels that they have to take at the time of the pain of the day after (i've seen me completely fine being kept in for 3 days because my levels are still high) def go to a&e next time and ask them to do blood.

Are you on your own? i couldn't imagine going threw all that without my husband and i felt bad not being able to look after the boys but atleast there was someone else who could do it.

Fingers crossed they get to the bottom of it.

I reckon a visit back to the GP is in order with some fairly sharp words! Don't wait for the next attack. At least now you know what it is, you can manage your diet accordingly. It works for some people and not for others.

My Dad diagnosed me! I just don't know how GPs and A&E depts can't seem to diagnose it correctly... I could easily identify a patient with gallbladder pain! Maybe they haven't had it themselves so they just don't understand that on a 1/10 pain rating, gallbladder pain is 11!

Hope they get it sorted for you soon. The op is keyhole and very straightforward and the recovery is quick too. I was able to look after my 5mnth twins as soon as I got home (I had 2 nights in hospital because the lovely private doctor said I could do with the rest! No such luxury of private medical care anymore though :( )
