Hi all (and a big welcome to our newbies:T)
I lost track last month and didn't do well at all:o.
So a new burst of energy is needed for August. I have a shiny excel spreasheet ready to keep tabs so here goes....:rotfl:
Im hoping to spend £400 this month, still higher than I'd like but taking it a step at a time.
Thanks again to all of who keep this thread together and to everyone that contributes.
So far I've spent £70 in sainsbobs and £14 in HomeB, freezer is looking full and cupboards healthy.
Good luck to everyone xMoving towards a life that is more relaxed and kinder to the environment (embracing my inner hippy:D) .:j0 -

Do you mean what does my username mean? Nothing remotely interesting lol it's mine and OHs initials. 01 because whatever forum I used it on first needed login details (usually requiring a number). Didn't realise it would become my username lol. And now I just use same for any forums. Wish I'd thought of something better though!

Just enjoyed a lovely hm pizza for dinner, topped with sausage, chicken and pineapple. There was also enough dough left over to make a mini garlic pizza. Yummy!
Feels great to have the children back. They don't seem tired, so I will let them stay up a little late, and we'll watch a bit of Olympic madness!
Bought loads of fruit today - went to get apples and one other, and bought about ten different types of fruit, and some clothes in the sale. Oops. Still, it'll all be eaten, and if not before Weds, then when the children get back again.
Will need to update sig, but this spend is still classed as July.
Tomorrow may be a sad day, as it would've been my 11th anniversary. Don't get me wrong, I don't miss him at all, I just miss the institution, the friends and events, etc.
WILL be a nsd tomorrow! We are thinking about going to the cinema as I was given cinema vouchers as one of my 'thank you teacher' presents. And, I have popcorn left over from a dvd event in school! Ultimate in [STRIKE]cheapskateness[/STRIKE] frugality!!

It's Friday so I have done the usual trip to Ald1 and Mr A.
Thanks to JJ for the info about the Aldi voucher:D Used most of mine to treat DH to a steak thay came recommended for achieving 2 weeks without booze.
I have decided that I have so much food in the house that I am going to miss out next Friday's usual shop and see how long I can go before I need to do a biggish shop. I will need, fruit and possibly bread and milk but am only budgeting a tenner. I know that we won't NEED anything I just need to stop WANTING to go shopping.
I am off to read the frugal fast thread for some tips.

I did once use plain for it, but it doesn't come out quite right imo. I wouldn't use sr flour, as you're using yeast!Grocery challenge for family of three - me, dd(12) and ds(11), feeding dp 2 or 3 x a week too. Only food, not toiletries. Jan £87.97/£100 Feb £0/£100
