Declaring at £150.96/£200 as I had 3 NSD's (well groceries anyway) since last shop. Pretty pleased although not sure how I did it (apart from giving the eating out budget a real bashing).
Off over to Sept thread, see you there. We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -

Mmmm - that could work I guess - I would also suggest coating the pork with flour (if you have in), if you like the sauce a bit thicker (or add cornflour later on).
Also - I'm not a HUGE lemon fan so I actually only used half a juiced lemon, instead of a whole lemon juiced and zested.
As with any recipe you can experiment and try new things out though
Never tried it before - but this goulash recipe looks like it could be good - you could used diced pork as the replacement. http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1094662/pork-goulash-with-herby-dumplings
Shouldn't be looking at recipes so early in the morning - I'm getting huuuungry, and have no breakfast food in, so I'm holding out for lunch! :rotfl:Grocery Challenge Jan 24 0/300

Hello everyone! Just dropping in to declare as my month finished yesterday - OH bought some milk and kitchen roll yesterday, so the total now stands at £217.57 from a target of £230. Really chuffed with this!
Commiserations to everyone who was over, congratulations if you were under and good luck to everyone who still has some of their August to go :-).
EDIT Remembered that I'd done my usual spreadsheet geekiness and hadn't shared:
Bread products £0.99 I've been pretty much only making my own, only bought two part baked loaves for garlic bread and nothing else
Cat £14.24
Dairy & eggs £20.14
OH's treats £28.78 This is mostly coke, crisps, pot noodles etc, and is a bit down, yay!
Delivery £15.50
Fruit & veg £32.35 concerned that this is down as I wasn't trying to reduce it, especially as meat has increased. Don't mind if it's just through reducing waste or because it was a 4 week month, but I don't want more and more meat and less veg to sneak into our diet so will be monitoring that we get our five a day next month!
Groceries £45.12 This is down and I don't know why
Household £10.65
Meat & fish £38.06 This has been creeping up, I suspect because we have been eating more meat
Toiletries £11.74Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018
