So sorry to hear your news debtfreewannabe. Hope you're looking after yourself and that your family are too.
Well I had small spend yesterday of £1.98 for cheese (OH got some to go with our veg chilli and rice). No spends today though. Only a couple more days to go so should make it.
Had spag bol with salad tonight, spag bol sauce was homemade (by OH) but from the freezer so a very quick and easy but VERY tasty meal :rotfl:. Just as well because I had an exercise class and OH was at the driving range so we didn't get home until about 7.15pm!Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

debtfreewannabe, so sorry to hear your news.
Well i am declaring £313.77 for this month. Over budget but not as bad as i thought it would be considering it was a five week month.
Chicken casserole with hg potatoes and hg veg for tea. It is a big help growing our own veg. My chest freezer is over half full of our hg veg so that will last us a while. Four sacks of potatoes we dug up yesterday are now in the garage. It does help with the shopping. I dread to think how much extra a month i would spend on fresh veg.
Good luck to everyone else and see you over on the September thread.

debtfreewannabe so sorry to read your sad news
think this has been my worst month so far this year with spends, i think a combination of our holiday and the kids off work DD has just got a job but with being a month in hand and needing a lot of help with travel expenses money just seems to have run away from us. kids all back at school now so going to be a concerted effort to reign it in between now and christmas.
declaring £479.41 for august so an overspend of ££79.41
going to start sept now in the hope of staying in budget in going for
£400 for September

I'm declaring at £147.08, so just under, which I'm thrilled about. I thought I'd be over as most of the money was spent in the first week of the month, but I've been much more disciplined about it since because I was determined to keep within the budget. Without joining the GC I would have gone over, so thanks everyone who runs it and everyone who contributes.Better is good enough.0

Hi all just declaring for August. 61% of budget spent and 67% of the year gone. See you over on Sept now."Sometimes life sucks....but the alternative is unacceptable."0

Well this is my last ost for August and declaring £246.81, so over budget which I fully expected.
Been a rubbish month in every way possible from family down to budgeting. Anyhow, I am hoping that the new month of September will be better (mine started on 28th) - I joined the coupon thread on here and I was contacted today by Nestle to say I have won some family tickets to Legoland. Never been there before so really excited about taking everyone. If they are valid for a year I will save them for next summers school holidays, if not it will be October.
So thats it for me I will see everyone over the other side in the hope of better things xoxTopCashback £1792.63My Little World0 -
Final August post from me. VERY hungover this morning so had a bit of trouble reading about all those YS bargains and mealplans people had - kept thinking I was going to be sick (I am NEVER drinking again).......
Anyhoo, managed to walk to the town to buy a few bits for tea. Grand total of £7.20 spent on one carrot, block of cheddar, grated grana pandano, and sweets for the children. Also picked up a DAB radio which I plan to give my DMum for Xmas - HP at £29.99 but this will come from my Xmas savings budget.
Declaring then for August at £240.01 vs. a budget of £250. Happy with that:D See you all on the September thread.
