lol - I assumed you had eaten the rest :rotfl:
To get round ones you have to 'roll' the pan around a bit to spread the batter, thats why its good not to have the pan too hot or it 'sets' too quick!
Its really easy to get the hang of honestly!
why not make some extra batter when you do the Toad & have a practice - you can have a home cooked pud too then :AI THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0 -

Ahh now that might be a too cold pan then - the oil needs to be just hot enough to 'set' the batter on the bottom as you swirl & dont use to much oil- just enough to lightly cover the base of the pan is all you need - tip some away if there's a 'puddle' & use it for the next one. Thats what I do. I put oil in pan & warm till its really runny & swirl it so it covers base of pan then tip rest of it into spare cup. Then with pan held just above a medium heat, I ladle a little batter into pan & 'wobble it' about until its pancake shaped lol. Only then does it get put on the ring itself. When the edges start to come away from the sides of the pan its time to turn (dont even try tossing except for fun lol)I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0 -

No! part cook sausages in toad tray first - till they start to brown (med heat oven) then add the batter mix! - they might not cook through in the short tome batter needs.I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0
