    Toad in the hole?
  • Hi hun :) Just been catching up on your diary on DFW

Have you got flour, eggs and milk? If so then i'd make toad in the hole with mash and veg - we had that the other night and it was yum! :)

Take the sausages out of their skins and break each one into 2-3 pieces (depends how big they are) and roll into balls like mini meatballs. Fry in a frying pan til cooked through. I normally have them with some type of pasta & sauce.

 Take the sausages out of their skins?? They're frozen! How do I do that?! Would you fry them like you'd fry an egg? With oil and stuff?

Cook your sausages in the oven and the add you yorkshire pudding mix to the sausage tin and turn the oven up for about 20 mins.

Toad in the hole - is basically Yorkshire pudding with sausages in, so make a batter with egg(s), flour and milk (or some water) - use delia's recipe for yorkshire pudding batter
Fry/bake your sausages, when nearly done, transfer to tin or oven proof dish, make sure there is enough oil to stop Toad from sticking. Heat dish in oven with oil so is sizzling hot , add batter to sausages and bake till risen, golden and crispy.
Loads of recipes if you google Toad in the Hole :

    including a delia one!
    Enjoy!
  • Oh I haven't got any yorkshire pudding mix.....

    cup of plain flour
    cup of eggs (shelled)
    cup of milk
    salt/pepper

    whisk together.
