What charges you can claim

Edinburgh can i ask you for a view on this charge and the reasoning behind it. NatWest charge something called a Card Recovery Fee of £125. This is normally after the account has been sent to credit management services(effectively a debt recovery department). My argument would say that i believe that it is unlawful because had the charges themselves not been levied then the charge would not have been made. The bank argument would be that it is to pay for the service that they employ to recover their property. I will leave it with you on this one.0

Plesae help me, im so confused, I'm trying to claim bank charges from Nat West, my statement is showing charges for unpaid items, interest A/C and charges A/C, can I claim on these as I.m not even sure what they mean.0

Autumn, upaid items yes, charges at the end of the month, £28 is unarranged Borrowing Fee so YES. If the amount is £40 it is likely that you have advantage gold so £12 is ADGD fee and £28 is UBF and the ADGD fee is a no but UBF is a YES. Hope that helps0

On my account (Natwest) I have an agreed credit zone which when exceeded, the bank charges me an unarranged borrowing rate of 29.5% per annum for any amounts over and above the credit zone limit.
This interest can accrue costs of up to £50 a time, which is levied monthly.
Am I within my rights to claim this back? Of note, I do not have fixed penalties as such, but the penalties are applied as described above.
Thanks for any help anyone can give!

No, you can’t. Nobody has to lent you money. You’ve agreed that rate of interest. Just stay within your agreed limit and there won’t be any interest.
If you pay £ 50.00 a month in interest, you must be overdrawn all the times by £ 2000.00 above your agreed limit. You should bring that down.0 -
If the extra interest was as a result of charges taking you over your borrowing limit then that specific amount of interest is reclaimable.Hamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.0

If I understood the OP correctly (maybe she can clarify), she has an account that does not issue (penalty) charges. If you stay within your agreed limit, you get charged interest of xx % (maybe even interest free) on all borrowing and if you exceed your limit, you’ll be charged 29.5 %.
In comparison to all those people who elsewhere get hit with a charge of £ 30.00 or so, as they exceeded their limit by a few pounds for a day or two, on her account the OP gets charged with a few pence.
What can be fairer than that.0 -

This is the interest the bank charged me for my AGREED overdraft!?
Don't take it, if it's a bad deal. Shop around, maybe other banks offer better rates.0 -
What do i do if i have already closed the account i want to claim from.
I have already found out what they owe me. I now need to send the letter to say please give it back!! Should i give them my new account details to put the money into or will they send me a cheque?0
