Hi there
i've tried looking for infomation on the threads but i can't find anything. I am reclaiming charges from EGG for my credit card however they state in their reply that i cannot reclaim the repayment protection payments that they have taken from me. Is this right or should i still be able to claim them back when i go to the ombudsman0 -
The PPI is not a bank charge but an insurance and so can't be claimed back unless you can prove they mis-sold you PPI.0

There is a list of what you can and can't claim in the first post of this thread and if you read the Reclaim Help Thread which his linked in my signature you'll find the list there along with a basic start guide.0 -
HI, I'm sorry if I sound a bit thick but I'm still confused about overdraft charges.
The majority charges in my claim are overdraft fees and excess overdraft fees. Can I claim for both of these fees?
I've sent all the letters off and received response back from First Direct to say that they believe there's nothing wrong with their charges and now I'm unsure of my next step. If I go ahead with starting a small claims on-line should I take the standard overdraft fees off? Did I OK these fees when I opened the account, it is noted in their terms of conditions that they'll charge but each time is between £25 and £30 each time.
Surely these charges are excessive, I'm paying the money back and paying interest after all.

Please tell me where i send the letter back too is it to my branch or to the address on the letter with all my statements0

I have received my list of charges going back six years. I had expected it to be like abank statement showing the exact charges. Instead it is like this:
01/10/2001CHG UNPAID DD 82.50DR
etc.....
How do I calculate what I paid?
Are charges for unpaid DD and OD excess the same?
Sorry if this is seems a little thick! There are over 60 charges and I want to get it right.0 -
Going my my Barclays statement it had the above
Then on the left hand side it had a debit amount like **35**
Unpaid DDs and OD excess were different it seems (and slowly increased over the years)0 -

Thanks for replying. There are no amounts shown on this list. I suppose I should just phone and ask them! Make them work for my money! haha!0 -
