  • I have received statements from Lloyds TSB but am not sure what I can claim for re overdraft interest charges and overdraft excess charges. Is it just overdraft excess charges that I claim for?

    Hi, A few questions...

    1) Can I claim back charges for an account I used to have with HSBC even though I can't remember the account number and have no statements? I've moved house a few times since too and the account has been fully closed for 3+ years

    2) Can I claim back credit card overlimit/late admin fee charges from Capital One even though it had defaulted and been passed around every debt recovery place in the UK before I finally settled it for £265 today (was £332, but my credit limit was only £200 so the rest was admin charges etc)

    Any help appreciated!!

    Thanks,
    Stacie
  • Hi there,

I used to receive money from my parents while on university, they live in another country and everytime I opened the statements the charges were really high, I guess it could be because the money was coming from another country.
Above it says that charges related to foreign currency transactions and conversions cannot be claimed.
Does it mean I will never be able to claim those charges back?

hi, please can you help, i am really worried as i have gone through the steps of asking bank for my charges and am just plucking up courage to fill out moneyclaim form. thought i would double check everything when i realised that some of my claim (an amount of 114.06 and my claim is for over 2,000) is for o/draft usage fee which apparently can`t be claimed, what should i do, i thought you seemed the best person to help. have i blown my chances!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi,

I am new to all of this money saving malarky but am most interested in saving money from both a personal and business point of view.

Can someone advise me - at work we used to use a bank which charged us approx 7.00 GBP for each bacs payment which we received. Can my company claim each of these bank charges back? I understand that this is not possible if we received a payment in a different currency but surely it is unacceptable to charge 7.00 a time when the payment is made in GBP?

I would be grateful for any advice on this subject.

    Many thanks
