£7.66 last week on free things with vouchers in boots, and a free bag of fruit given to me by an ex student of mine working on a market stall!!! 70 p today by walking back from town instead of taking the bus. £1.50 by buying some near to sell by date goodies for my kids in sainsburys. £29 from greasypalm, £9 from quickwise, cost of a lunch because I attended a community arts session (free lunch provided) and free breakfast today fopr attending a discussion panel about local parks services. Doing ok really! I didnt realise how well until I looked at it all written down.
Oh and nearly £50 quid by getting some free paper from euroffice.co.uk !

Well done, SS - that's the real beauty of this challenge - if you don't write it all down and take note, it's hard to notice not only how much you're saving, but where you are saving.
Also why some of it is *virtual* and other amounts are *actual*.

I have just sold two of the kids unwanted playstation games for £20. Am pleased with that because the kids have had them for months if not a couple of years.

I've just calculated the amount I saved simply on the reduced prices (so this is my virtual amount because it wasn't calculated in the actual amount above where I used the coupons/bogof's).

    On food items: £9.22
On clothing items (presale prices): £22.50
Putting the total £31.72 into my virtual pot.

I wish I could sell mine! I'm living with a constant headache due to the arguing and shouting, I can't wait until Monday when the school holidays are over.
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Last week my boys "traded" in their older/uninteresting to them PS2 games to GamesWorld - they were given a staggering £65 worth of "credit" to purchase more goods with ... they chose from the top of the range/new out type - but hey, it was their 'money'.

I understand Blockbusters would have taken them too, but for not such a good deal.

Sooooo, who gets the £20 you made, you or the kids? ;)

Total PIN money so far this month (25 Mar-25 April) £76.64 consisting of purely offers & bogofs & buying reduced goods at Iceland, Boots Sainsburys & Tesco's. Year to date total is £230.86 (that's not including the cash in the wine carafe that we put in if there is a surplus in our weekly budget).

That will be dipped into this month as sadly my father in law passed away so we will have unexpected amounts to pay out for flowers etc

If I hadn't been doing this & the grocery challenge I probably would'nt have had any money spare at all and would have had to use the dreaded credit card(which I am trying really hard not to use)
