Thanks to my inability at remembering which month we're in, my virtual pin money has risen by £33.83 today. I budgeted for my water rates direct debit to start last month, but after checking my latest bank statement I've realised the first payment starts this month :o So rather than fritter it away like I would have done a couple of months ago it's gone straight towards my credit card bill :j

Wow - I won £22 on our work bonus number lottery this week!!! Straight in to the 'fund'. Didn't tell my partner (naughty I know, but I'm really really trying to build up my own stash of cash!) :j

I hadn't thought much about the petrol money I've saved, but since I started the grocery challenge I've been more aware of the fact that I have legs that I can use for free :o . I've also stopped 'popping' into town and have become more organised by only driving in when I have a list of things to do or buy so I'm sure I must have saved quite a few pounds in petrol and wear and tear :j

How could I have missed this thread before! Now I am definately not going to get any work done this aft! I love this website :D .
Anyway, have worked out my virtual 'savings' for today.
    1. About 50p for 'accidently' phoning Barclays on the wrong (freephone) number so I could get transferred to a personal banker.
    2. 50p by getting my chocolate hit from the free biscuit selection in the staff room.
    3. £30 because I got some much needed debt paying off inspiration from MSE and booked another shift with the catering agency I have my extra job with.
    4. £1.20 because have decided to get the bus home from the free show (TV audience) my friend has got tickets to see.
    so thats £32.50
I may have to go home this eve and buff my halo :D
Am defo going to have to run up a pin money list next time I am feeling like falling into the big black debt hole of despair (usually happens on friday when all my friends are planning on hitting the town and I am going to work or facing the prospect of another evening huddled round a pint of tap water while eveyone else sups their flashy cosmo's - am I bitter ;) - no! not with MSE's help!)
I've made my debts bite-size too depressing to look at all at once so am handling them one at a time - first up Graduate Loan £1720 paid off! only £280 to go!!!
Money to raise for tuition fees: £3000
When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!!

*leans over to buff Eliza's halo so she won't have to wait all day to SHINE*

Well, I'm having a little :j because I had to go shopping today (been avoiding it like mad).

I have saved on my spending today ....

    *drumroll please* ....

    £47.29 :D

Now that is the *actual* savings after bogof, coupons, specials - I have yet to work out the *virtual* savings because most of my purchases were reduced/sale and I don't want to lose sight of that.

Rose999 - good point about calculating petrol savings, I'd missed that! Must make some further calculations now :D
I love reading how you are all doing - and you really are all doing great! I'm gaining good ideas too!
