nope, they get dried in the privacy of my own room.
When I lived at home I had a real problem hanging my smalls out on the line to such an extent my Dad would really rib me about getting my "unmentionables" on the line.
So now I have a phobia about it. I live alone and I STILL hang them on airer in the bedroom!!!

when i was a teenager my stepfather "wound me up" on one occasion saying that a pair of my smalls had broken free of the washing line and blown into next doors garden landing on their twenty something sons head :embarasse

At the time i was mortally embarrassed not realising he was joking, and as a result have subsequently always dried my smalls indoors not wanting to take the risk of them disappearing!

I have single middle aged men living either side of me, and i certainly dont want them to see what i wear under my clothes so joke or not, my stepfather actually did me a favour!

If we had an outside line & could guarantee a dry day for washing, I'd hang 'em oot. Everyone wears grotts, where's the shame in it?

Nope but because I dont hang anything outside. I hang it up in the spare room, or it goes in the tumble dryer. I cant be bothered to deal with the spiders and bugs, and some clothes get marks in them from the pegs.

Yes. I have one of those multi-hanger things. I know someone who dries hers on the radiators indoors and I always think its funny when you go around and every radiator downstairs is covered in her bras and knickers!! How can that be worse than putting them on the line?

I dont, but OH today did say in response to my sarcasm "Just for that I am hanging your undies out on the line".

Its not only women who feel unnerved about their smalls being on display.
