  • I'm still wearing my normal underwear- I never thought to buy different knickers as they sit below my bump. I'm wearing all non-maternity clothes today too, although obviously they are tight across my bump now. I mostly live in leggings though- a combination of maternity and non-maternity. I'm living in my Uggs too. They are definitely my pregnancy best buy as they are just so comfy.

I have a few pairs of knickers that feel tight on me as well Marta, have hidden them to the back of my drawer for after the baby is born.
...I have a whole stash which don't fit. I used to like the boy-short style but my thigh hems are now too tight. Back to bikini style for the moment, in a size bigger if possible!!

I'm lucky in that I've never had a problem with weight (I used to weigh 50kgs, then had my wisdom teeth removed and lost 5kgs, have hovered between 45 and 50 ever since) - so in my case it's more curiosity than anything. I also feel a bit better now knowing I am 25% heavier than pre-pregnancy - so if I can't cycle up the teeniest incline I have a good excuse! :D

I hope I'll lose it again easily, but if not am willing to put in some effort. Which will suck as I'm not a fan of gym (although there are some forms of exercise which work for me) and I'm not used to watching what I eat either. Ah well.

I thought anything that was not a cellular blanket was a "no no"
Me too, but the definition of 'cellular blanket' seems quite wide. I have a 100% cotton blanket that came in a bedding set which I wasn't expecting to be cellular but it claims to be - and it's a pretty thick woven blanket, not loosely knitted or anything.

    Ikkle - yes ma'am! Teehee ^^

Best bit of advice I can give to anyone growing out of their clothes is... if it won't fit, pit it in a bag and forget about it! Nothing more depressing than putting on the same clothes and not fitting in them :(

"Cellular blankets" are basically just loose knit/waffle pattern right? Something breathable... not fleece?

    Morning ladies :)

Eleanor Josephine Ann was born yesterday at 21.41 by emergency section. Ellie weighs 8lb exactly, and is very beautiful (not that I'm biased). Very sore, and exhausted, staying in hospital for a few days but will post a picky when we get home as well as a birth story. Suffice to say that nothing went to plan, but we're.overjoyed with our little girl ;)

You have a little girl!!! Congratulation LM:j:j:j

Moneypenny It's quite  that it can happen anytime. Friday is my last working day so I'm really happy

CL Monday is my first ML day as well :j:j:j. Sorry for to hear about the car...

MrsHaworth2b I've updated the list. Congratulation for joining the blue team.

morocha Yep, I was always  about labor but I know that every one has the same fear as me...

Sorry to hear about you and your partner. I'm really glad that you will stay put for now.

AFM, I went to hospital today and I saw my little one. She was measuring 36 weeks + 3 days , still breech and by the sounds of it she doesn't really have space to turn around (small bump and big baby :D)

I saw the consultant registrar and we had a good chat about c-sections. I will go again on Monday and if the baby is still in breech they will book a c-section for me at 39 weeks. So I'm not too stressed about the whole thing as I know that for every problem or worry there is a solution. I just need to enjoy the last weeks of pregnancy and be happy that, by the end of this journey I will have my forever baby.

OH and I'm no 19. Yupppy.

  • Evening ladies!

    LM - Congrats!!

Rups - I'm good thanks, hope you're enjoying time at home. Am finding these last few days tiring but just two to go :j Midwife is a little concerned that I'm not going to have much of a break beforehand. Must earn whilst I can. Nearly there :)

Morocha - sending a hug your way :)

Footwear - I've considered wellies over the last few days but didn't fancy carrying other shoes with me to work.

38 week appt - had the student mw again today with my regular mw. Felt a little tender after all the prodding about but she has to learn! :) Got a little "telling off" for not having time to eat much today. Meetings at work got in the way of being able to have lunch before the appt so my urine showed +ketones. Mw not sure if I have a UTI (no symptoms atm), as ++leukocytes present today too. I'm wondering if it's GBS starting to present symptoms - was picked up on swabs last year. BP was also up slightly so must make sure I contact mw if other symptoms appear.

Maybe I'm just starting to fall apart now as I start to relax for ML.

Next appt will be 40+2 and if nothing happens in the 7 days after this date, mw will visit me at home and we'll decide whether to manually start the 'process'.

Roll on Friday - hope everyone has a lovely end to the week.

    mlb 38+2

Thanks all for the reassuring messages about bump size/weight in the 30s. I guess whatever will be will be and in a few months it'll get smaller again overnight!

I also have maternity knickers and bought some short type underwear from New Look; I find normal underwear folds under bump and gets really uncomfy!

Very jealous of those still in pre-preg clothes!

Also hope all new babies are doing well and new Mums are recovering and getting some rest x

omg i am number 16 now!!

    hi ladies. how are you?

firstly congrats to the very patient little moog. hope all went well and you are enjoying your cuddles finally. :)

also morocha glad you made a decision that is right for you. you could def assess it later on and dont need that stress now. xxx

i have forgotten everything else as it took me ages to read posts and i missed a page where littlemoog announced her birth and then saw people congratulating and i thought hey? lol

glad all went well at the hosp aida. you can in a way relax and go in at the date and have your little one in your arms. in a way i dont know if i would have preferred that as right now, am wondering how my little one will arrive. i know i shouldnt worry about it as whtever will happen, the little one will gethere, but wish we all knew no? :)

just had a bit of a grumpy and crappy day. didnt sleep well so woke up later. then i wanted to have a shower and the hot water is busted. so i left having a shower and went into town and went to the bank and could hardly walk. then met up with 2 ladies who i had met on twitter and one of them was showing me how good resusable nappies were. then had lunch with them and headed back home and have been in my comfy duvet. just tired and grumpy. bit annoyed at dh today as all i can see him doing is organising his social events every week and doesnt even ask me if i would like to go out with him. thnk since last night i got mad at him as all i seem to be doing is dinner and washing up and him just making a mess for me. he seems to think i am on holiday. sorry guys. just needed to let off some steam. i havent done anything today and he can deal with the hot water. doesnt mean if iam at home, i can do everything now.. :(

i know ineed to keep active and am trying what i can but i also cant help feeling knackered. forget this nesting. where is it? i would rather have that than feeling so tired all the time. :( better go and make conversation now even though iam happu upstairs. lol. x
