  • Hi all! Baby Alice born at 4:25pm on Saturday 24th of November weighing 6 lb and 15 oz. Very quick birth especially for a first baby; waters went 9 am Saturday, contractions started an hour later. By half one in the afternoon hubby insisted we go to hospital, I was going "they'll just send us home!" Got there just after two and was told I was already pushing! Took a while to get the hang of pushing but we got there. Stayed overnight and came home yesterday morning. She is the most amazing thing I have ever seen.
  • Oh wow, congratulations missbunbury too!

Congrats Sa-ra-ra-ra! My DD is called Juliet and I love the name. Everyone says how nice it is. Now to find an equally nice name in the next week!

Congrats MissBunbury! What a quick labour!

Good luck LM. Hopefully things get moving before tomorrow.

I'm on my first week of maternity leave now and had a friend and her 10 week old over for lunch and DD was so good and gentle with the baby. She seems to love babies.

I didn't lose any mucus plug with DD and was induced at 40+10. I haven't seen any with this pregnancy and I'm 38 weeks now.

Sorry to hear about what you are going through Morocha. You must be a very strong person to tackle this head on now. Lots of people would just bury their head in the sand.

Labour vibes for all who want them!

Oh wow :) Congratulations Sarara & missbunbury! Some lovely names :)

Oh Rups, you don't seem to have much luck sometimes when you go shopping :( It's nice that your OH is looking after you though now that you're home :)

I'm just waiting for my DH to arrive home from work, he should finish at 5 so will hopefully arrive home before 6. Then I think it's going to be tea, chill, shower & and an early night for us. It's been a long weekend having driven from near Sheffield (where we live) to Bicester on Saturday morning for a bit of Xmas shopping, then over to Essex on Saturday afternoon for a wedding reception on Saturday night. Didn't get into bed until 2am, up again at 10am & then drove back home last night. It's been a long weekend with a lot of time sat in the car & I wore small heels on Saturday night so I'm paying for it now, really tired & achy. Definitely looking forward to our own bed!

awwh mrsB, an early night sounds lovely. think the way dh is feeling, he will too.:)#
unfortunately, croydon has such stupid people. so much attitude and no manners. so no one cares how they walk, who they push etc there is a mad rush anyway due to xmas but i still wonder why people behave like that. never mind, i have to try and find a time when there are not many people around. :)

I'm sure you can get your revenge Rups when you have your little one & your pram, bash a few sets of ankles etc when you're out shopping :D I just think there's no need to behave like that & certainly no need to push a pregnant woman!
