Hi ladies, another day another bp drama here lol. Bp was 160/98 at 11am this morning with my gp so was again refered to triage and all readings there were normal along with urine & blood althougg at about 7 I began getting mild contractions which were initially picked up on the ctg machine before i could feel them - been sent home with instructions to return if/when they become unbearable but have an appointment booked in for the day assessment unit on Thursday to be checked out incase it isn't actually labour - 38 weeks no drama now it all comes at once lol.

LittleMoog

I'm still here been contracting on and off all day, no pattern and not too sore, apart from the odd one that catches me by surprise. Have had a bath and now trying to get some sleep, induction at 8.30 in the morning if nothing kicks off overnight. Fingers crossed I've dilated enough to get waters broken, otherwise will just get a pessary and sent home for 6 hours. Ready for it all to kick off now, am knackered and fed up!

Been using my tens machine all afternoon and most of yesterday, seems to be working well for me so far - if you're going to use one I'd recommend ordering a spare set of electrodes though (available from Amazon/ebay for my model the Elle tens), as mine are becoming unsticky after so much use. Also loving the birth ball, so much easier to change position quickly, struggling with sitting on the sofa as it's really uncomfy once a contraction hits.

Anyway, probably won't get on tomorrow morning, so hugs to all, congratulations to the new mummies and labour vibes to all the boldies. Hope you don't go as overdue as me, it's rubbish! So relieved induction day is nearly here, even though it's not what I wanted I'm desperate for it to all be over now

Thinking of you today LM. I don't blame you for being ready to get baby out, I remember being overdue being the longest 2 weeks ever.

I have such a sore back today. Fingers crossed it's a sign of something not just a niggle. Last minute order for a TENS yesterday as I was getting so many tightenings in my back. Hopefully that will come today.
