glad you got your stuff bamama. think before i have my lunch date with the two local mums tomorrow, i may pop into debenhams and get those bras as keep meaning to get them.

have done nothing all day, been so so lazy and at home. the weather has been horrible. so tomorrow is my day out so i hope i dont get too tired. might 'watch' a yoga dvd shortly as i make our dinner. dh is out with his ex-boss so he will be in later. already hungry. lol. might have some toast. piggy me. lol.

Thanks Bamama - I usually try make sure I have one with me even though the odds of me needing it are usually minute, but it's something you don't want to be caught without!!

Hi everyone

I've been having a quick scan through of some of the messages on here - such exciting times.

We are expecting our first baby in April and both my husband and I are so excited.

It's lovely reading posts about all the different people on here - just can't wait util it is my turn to make the big announcement that our baby has arrived.

I havent really been logged in much to keep updated but on the 24th November I was sent into hospital to be induced. However while they were monitoring my belly, i noticed i was starting to have contractions.They sent me off for a walk, i returned 2 hours later with contractions closer together. they decieded that rather than induce me they'd see how things went. My contractions became more painful and 8mins apart. they chose then to break my water. Baby Dylan John Malcolm was born at 5:36am on the 25th November weighing 8lb11. (One day before his sisters first birthday!)
I only had gas and air (i was pleading for more drugs) he was born within 2 hours of my waters being broken. Once I stopped begging for more drugs and began to close my eyes and waving my arms in the air in a ti-chi way it got a bit easier. but my god I am never getting pregnant again!
Dylan came out in such speed and with his cord round the neck they rushed him to the ICU where he stayed for 4 hours before I got to hold him.
Midwives do such an amazing job. Ofcourse theres always a rotten one in the lot, but I understand why some are so horrid. I can not give enough credit to the women that helped me through this.
Now the challenge is raising a newborn and a 1 year old!

oh missed those posts somehow as i posted. congrats kimmilew. Lovely name. hope you are enjoying some cuddles now and are ok? poor little boy with the cord round him. like you said its nice the mws looked after him and took him away. hope i get decent midwives. i always see different ones and some are grumpy. lol

Hope everyone's had a good start to the week.

Two and half days left at work - can't wait! 38 week appt tomorrow pm and have found out that work are actually arranging a leaving meal for Friday. I usually sort out cards and collections in the dept and thought they'd all forgotten I was going (despite ticking off each day that's completed on my wall chart ).

Not sure how I've coped today. Be awake since 2.30am (the usual nightly pee and a dancing baby for the remainder of the night) so am absolutely shattered now.
