That's shocking DayDream!! If you are up for it I'd write a letter of complaint. I hope going back into the same environment doesn't raise your bp!! Can the midwives do the check for you rather than the doctor (and can you ask them to re-do it a few mins later rather than shove you over to assessment?).
  • Savage I've left a message for my community midwife asking if my bp can be checked at home, she'll call me back soon hopefully! My mum is on the war path and if I know her at all she's been on the phone already and will have already penned a letter, 28 years old and very much relieved my mum will still fight my battles lol.

Gosh, what a bad experience!! Sorry to hear that! Make sure your DH is reachable from now on! I'm sure he had not thought of some routine check ending up like that either, it must have been very frustrating and scary for you but he probably wish now he were contactable. My DH has two mobiles on him, the personal one and the office one, but if he were out of range I think I would feel so stressed out!!! Good that your bp dropped on its own. It's great to have a mum like yours :)

Sorry to interrupt. I just decorated my bathroom a lovely shade of pink. Unfortunately it was done by projectile vomitting the raspberries I ate in work. Can't have been the raspberries themselves because I've also been to the toilet... which is usually rather difficult what with the iron tablets. Gotta stay in and feel sorry for myself all day as OH isn't gonna be home from work until very late :(

DDB that's awful. Makes me wish I hadn't posted now :( shouldn't complain seems as I had no morning sickness.

Big hugs DDB, that sounds awful and scary. Hugs to Bamama too, that also sounds nasty, it's never nice being sick xx

Good news about your appointment GISI, hopefully baby will arrive of their own accord and you'll get the vbac in the way you want.

Went to mw this afternoon, booked in for a sweep on Sunday at 40+12, which I have to go to the hospital for (local policy, not heard of them doing this anywhere else), and induction on Tuesday if there's no movement. Trying to be cheerful about it, hopefully baby will arrive before then so no point getting worked up now, as it won't help with oxytocin production if I get stressed. My NCT friends are all meeting at bumps and babes tomorrow morning with their babies, and I can't decide if I want to see them and get some lovely cuddles, or if it will send me into a jealous hormonal meltdown! :rotfl: It's been a week since the last baby (apart from mine obv!) arrived and I really thought mine would be here by now!

  • What a nightmare DDB :( those doctors sound downright arrogant and rude .

Hope you feel better soon Bamama- try and sip fluids to keep you hydrated.

Go to bumps and babes LM, cuddling babies is supposed to stimulate oxytocin production so it will probably set you off:D.

I've just walked to nursery and back to pick DS up so having a well deserved sit down now.

    No Rups today?

Moog you definitely should go for cuddles!

Thanks for the sympathy girls. I've had a nap for an hour and a half. Not sure I want to get up yet though.

I was wondering where Rups was myself. Maybe she's kust been busy with handover stuff in work.
