Bamama, they can be Braxton hicks, they feel different for different people, or maybe just baby moving down? I had those period-like pains since.last week or so, around 35-36 weeks.

Ooooh....battlestar galactica!!! I am watching it at the moment, but I have no DVD, I am recording it on Sky. I wanted to watch the film "the plan" too, I am very confused about what's going on with that blonde hallucinations lol, I am only on episode 3 season 1, though. I have almost finished all my Stargate SG-1, currently in season 10 (last season), I hope they schedule Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe!!! lso recording Babylon 5 and Firefly, I have not seen them yet!!!

I'm 35+3. Had some pains before. Bit more painful now. It's a constant ache... unless I move. BH come and go don't they?

Step-mother and boss have both said I look like I've dropped. Think I'm worrying mostly because OH is off across the country with work tomorrow.

Bamama, I think period like pains when baby's engaging are very common, as are all sorts of other aches, pains etc as the baby runs out of room.

Marta I'm a bit jealous you have all that good tv ahead of you! Firefly is awesome, I'm still gutted they cancelled it! I'm enjoying rewatching bsg, but it's not the same as the first time round!

I would say period pains are definitely a sign of baby engaging. Are you getting pressure in your pelvis?

Not really GISI. Just feels like period pain. Low down near my pelvis. Got a bit of a... um.. heartburny feeling (don't think I've ever had heartburn tbh). I dunno. Not very good at explaining things ><

My 'baby engaging' pains were more like sore sitbones (sitting on an uncomfy bike seat) and now general pressure between my legs if I'm walking around (standing seems fine though) - I did have one evening of period type pains which I think were baby going nuts and moving about while mostly engaged.

Morning ladies

Woke up at 5 and don't seem to be able to get back to sleep will have to nap this afternoon!

Got my sister and niece coming over this morning, we were going to the park and cake shop afterwards (bit too overdue now to risk swimming & waters breaking scenario!) but the weather is miserable so not sure what we'll do instead. Hopefully it will still involve cake

Going to the mw drop in clinic at the local children's centre this afternoon as there were no appointments left at my GP this week. Will be good to see the children's centre before baby comes so I know where it is etc. Mw should book me in for induction next week (hopefully unnecessary!) so will find out what the procedure is. At least the end will be in sight!

I'm off too see the consultant about my polyhydramnios and I fear my birth plan of care won't be what I had hoped. Bump is so sore today- I feel like I've been bruised on the inside.
