  • Many thanks, Bamama! :)
He thinks it won't change anything but then he thinks he knows everything! I'm not sure if he wants me to be on SMP as it'll mean he'll have to get a replacement.

Guess he'll find out tomorrow when he contacts those who deal with the wages for the council.

If you can get it, claim it! Lol :) but yea pretty sure you can't work either way. Would kinda be benefit fraud.

:) Maybe baby and I could have matching prison suits :)

I'm sure I've read somewhere that volunteer work is fine. He's quite a stubborn bloke so won't like to think/know he's wrong (if that is the case)

Lol that would be awesome! Would you go classic black and white stripe... or orange jumpsuit?

I'm not sure if you could get the 10 "keep in touch" days to use? If it's a weekend a month then that would be 5 months you could do? No expert obviously but you could ask about that. Or there may be some loophole for carers... I dunno lol.

Should get off my phone. OH is snoring away next to me, bless.
  • Morning ladies! Feeling so much better today thank goodness! I'm hoping I just had a 24 hr bug and nothing more serious. Thank you for your kind words of support yesterday.

I'm getting really excited for the birth, is this normal? I can't wait to get this little monster out of me! He's currently back to back so his head is on my spine (really isn't helping the scoliosis I suffer with!) and naturally my back is in pain. Anyone got a back to back baby or ever had one? How did you cope with the back pain, did they turn before the birth and is there anything I can do to encourage him to turn?
Have I helped? Feel free to click the 'Thanks' button. I like to feel useful (and smug). ;)

jonno - surely still got a chance for baby to turn before labour? Although of course they won't know unless they see you and can feel. I've been head down every appointment luckily and baby is engaging too (3/5 last appointment and either 3/5 or 4/5 yesterday!). Perhaps it's worth asking if you can see the m/w again if the scan is unfavourable before labour to see if she can tell then?

LittleMoog - that sounds like baby engaging to me :) I didn't notice a drop in bump really but baby began to engage pretty early, but I did notice tender lady-bits ;) especially when walking

Mine not back to back, but two friends have had back to back babies. One was back to back throughout labour (wouldn't turn) and one turned back to back after being induced despite being fine before! I think spinning babies has ideas on how to turn them, IIRC the heavy part of baby is the backside so you want to do lots of leaning forward or scrubbing floorboards and things like that ;)
