QueenB, ask for acupuncture aswell. I asked the physio today and she said she will do it herself next week when I am back if the hip/pelvis pain is still there. I have been twice now, last week she said she was putting some muscle or rotational something back into place, today she worked on the muscle as whatever she had put in place remains in place, most of the pain has been reduced considerably. I asked her about acupuncture for helping with bringing up labour and she said those are other points and she won't be near them, but that the midwife can do it / refer me, so I will also ask next week.

I took my rings off at around the 24 week, I couldn't take them off for a while.at first, then one night when putting on cream they seemed to get looser and I immediately took them off and put them in a chain around my neck. I look forward to being able to put them back, but my fingers are quite swollen atm.

I have not noticed any leaking from books yet, or any bits from the plug either. I do have thicker discharge, the period-like cramps and recently standing up is a chore. I end up bent for a couple of minutes before I can fully stand up right. Not sure why!!

I am also quite tired, my naps seem to be now a minimum of an hour. At least I am having decent sleep generally, 9h with one or no visit to the bathroom. Except last night, the hip pain woke me up every time I tried to turn in bed.

I know everybody says that we feel the baby less in the last weeks, but mine must be looking forward to be out and move because I feel her most of the time. My belly suddenlystarts moving up and down, left to right, something pokes to the right, a bump goes up to the left, some pressure goes down the cervix... I am sure if I have a water birth this baby will get out splashing all around lol!!!

    3 weeks+ to go!!! :D

Sounds so like here. No leakage up top (yet).

Just wondering if I can go and nod off in the corner without anyone noticing. Would probably doze for ages though and Lee would wonder where I am. Might sneak out a few mins early :)

OMG, I had typed a lot on the phone, then the alarm went off and lost everything!!!!

I think it sounds like food poisoning, I'd call the Dr just in case.

I have had a very easy pregnancy, no morning sickness, no headaches, no dizziness, no cravings, no blues... so I think I won't complain much for a few weeks of hip pain!! I am very lucky!!

Iron levels were normal last time, 12.4. I think I just like napping, lol. And I have also been fortunate to be able to do so during the day. Even before the pregnancy. On the waking up to the toilet front, I kind of think I should go more often, but my body just don't wake me up for that. When I wake up in the morning I have to go veeeeery quickly because I am bursting!!! I have always been known for having a deep sleep and falling sleep anywhere, I keep joking with DH and telling him if labour goes on for over 20h I will have a nap in the middle of it! So I guess everything is fine, I am just a sleepyhead :D

I am sure I had more to say, but forgot!!!

  • Sorry to hear you've been so poorly MissKeith. I agree it sounds a lot like food poisoning, but there are also a lot of bugs around at the moment.

Red tyre marks sounds about right for stretch marks, Rups! Luckily they fade, although sadly my ones from DS1 have never totally disappeared. I really hate my stretch marks, but I guess they are a small price to pay for a lovey baby.

We're off for our tour of labour ward. Been shopping all afternoon so would prefer an evening on the sofa but never mind!

  • Evening all. Not had chance to post for a while as its just been manic :oFinally finished work last Thursday, although done a fair bit at home since, but other than catching up with my boss at some point I think I'm done :D

Hasn't helped that since I shopped working I've felt rough, cold like symptoms and a sore throat. DD1 (nearly 3) has also been poorly with a temperature, which is not like her at all. I'm sure my body knew and didn't let me be sick whilst I was still at work :o

Got a hospital appointment tomorrow for a scan as midwife couldn't tell what way baby was lying at last appointment. Hopefully baby will be head down otherwise I'm scuppered for my home birth plans. ;)
    Will update tomorrow.

Supposed to be going to friends tonight for a sale of stuff she has made, but DH not home yet and he has one overnight job so may stay at home and have an early night. I'll see.

Will update tomorrow post scan. Hope you all having lovely evening :)

    Evening ladies,
please can I be added to the list - I'm due on the 20th April, team yellow.
I'm mostly posting in the 12 - 24 week thread at the moment but do read along every evening as had I not had a second miscarriage I'd be due in a few weeks too, Christmas week.
So, it's a little bittersweet to be reading along with this group at the moment but I do keep reading as there is lots of great advice that you share!

Hope you are starting to feel better Miss Keith.

Been sorting out my forms etc to send to work to make sure I get my mat pay and finally staring to change my surname on stuff even though I got married over a year ago! :rotfl:
