Hello everyone
Congratulations to everyone who's had their little ones since I posted last, labour vibes & cuddles to those who need them too
We're 28+1 today & had a midwife appt as well as the lovely GTTMidwife said all is good, bump is on track & Beans heartbeat was all good. The GTT wasn't too bad, although original lucozade is gross! Even tried taking a bottle of orange flavour with me but they said it had to be original
Hopefully the results should be available within about 48hrs so I can give them a ring on Friday to see if they're back. They did the usual 28wk bloods as well so fingers crossed everything comes back normal
I made sure I took a couple of cereal bars with me for afterwards though just to make sure I didn't end up feeling too feint!
I've had a stinky headache for the past couple of days. Although it was a migraine yesterday so I'm thankful it's just a headache today! I was in bed for 9.30pm last night & I don't think I'll be much after today, just want to curl up & go to sleep. Just about to have mushroom risotto for me tea because the husband is home & cooking so I shall catch up with everyone later

I've got Kendal mint cake, fudge, granola bars and cartons of Ribena. I've also got a bottle of squash. Our NCT teacher advised against anything heavy as your digestion shuts down a bit when you're in labour, and you're likely to be sick so things which dissolve quickly like Kendal mint cake or dextrose tablets are good for a quick energy burst without taxing your stomach.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160

Kendal mint cake (chocolate coovered) was the best thing that i packed for my labour. Really easy to eat, quite refreshing, and a good quick burst of energy. You will not want to be spending ages chewing stuff. I did also take a tin of citrus travel sweets, which were good, as they helped with the dry mouth from the G&A, and lasted ages. Could be tucked in your cheek and come back to later. LOL. Lots of individual cartons of fruit juice with straws as well, as quick refreshment.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Kendal mint cake is basically pure sugar flavoured with mint essence! It's popular with hikers as a quick energy boost. You can buy it in walking/outdoors shops. I'm sure Rubicon would be fine, or any other fruit.juice type thing. I like Ribena so that's what I went forLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160

Rups - I get restless when I'm alone in the house at night, think its because it's dark outside and every little noise makes me jump.
Yummmmmmy chinese, I've been out for tea with a friend tonight and I'm stuffed!
Kendal mint cake, can buy it in the supermarket here, might be worth a look, though I am located fairly close to the Lake District so it might be a local thing that the supermarket stocks it.
Had quite a sharp pain in my left side under my bump all day, yowch! Wonder if it's bump having a stretch.I :heart2: saving money0 -

I went to Mothercare today and bought some perineal gel, mainly olive oil, though, and a pacifier that was on offer, it said it was the thinnest and proven not to mess up the mouth, from newborn onwards. I will try not to use it, but I thought at that price I could just have it in its box just in case. It is a MAM orthodontic and soft one from 0+ months, it comes in a box for storage and microwave sterilization. Paid about £3 down from almost £6. Anyway, at the till I was chatting to the cashier, who told.me they were closing that store soon, and I think we both got.distracted. Three hours later I realized that.my bag was a bit too big, and when I checked.I noticed she had also added a pack of 40 Agent Ultra Comfort breast pads!! I dont know how it happened, she might.have had it on the side and she put it in by mistake.
They had a pack of Moses bedding for £25 with 2 flats, two fitted and two cellular blankets... but it looked all a bit rough for the skin, not soft. The same items individually costed £7.99 for a pack of two sheets ( any) or a blanket, all in white. Do you know of any better deal? It just did not look soft enough and they only had them in white, pink or blue. I rather get yellow or cream to change a bit. I do not want it all pink or white just because I am having a girl. I must have moaned so much about that, that my mil has bought us a fleece blanket in lime green "because you do not want more pink", bless, lol.
For those looking to get the medela calma breast pump, they have it at £99.
I went to the physio today, I got an appointment 3 days after I spoke to the Dr, it was quick. She said my pelvis is a bit off to the right. Not aligned properly, and the muscles are overstretched and painful. Basically it might have been produced because I had no support from my lower abdomen, and.in all the movements she told me to do, I was using the back and the top abdomen instead. So I need to work out the lower back and the pelvis floor. It is something very common, she said. I have to hi back again next week.
I also had midwife, everything fine. Baby is pretty much engaged, back to the left and legs and arms to the right. Blood pressure normal at 110/70, iron ok at 12.4 and at 35+4 weeks I am 36cm. Baby's heart was also normal.I do not have to come back until week 38, which sounds scary, I have not even spoken to her about birth plan or anything!! I would not know what to do if I were to go into labour just before that day!!
Quit smoking *1st January 2010*
