Hello ladies, just a quickie to report a bargain I've found today. Superdrug are selling Lansinoh nipple cream for better than half price at £4.85, picked myself up 2 tubes this lunch time.
Will catch up properly later onI :heart2: saving money0 -
moneypenny21 wrote: »Glad your jabs went ok Lady M - did they tell you to take your iron tablets with orange juice to help them absorb. Also avoid dairy (milk mainly) and gaviscon type stuff for an hour before and after taking the tablets as that can inhibit absorption. They didn't tell me, my nursey friend did and my levels have improved since listening to her :T
Gosh CL you are doing well to be working still. I had a comment from the boss recently about how someone else who was heavily pregnant in another office was still working at full capacity. It made me feel really bad because everyone's different! Perhaps she feels 100% every day, I struggle to reach 75% every day and was working at about 5% when I was still there! :rotfl: Also perhaps this other person didn't have such a long commute which is what I found most difficult.
Rups - what colour pram did you go for?
They didn't but someone on the FB group did and someone mentioned about taking folic acid too.2019 Wins

Hope everyone is ok, not had chance to read back at all as my hands are a bit full!
My stunningly beautiful daughters were born on November 1st by emergency c-section after getting stuck at 9cm dilated. Amelia was born first at 13.01 weighing 7lb and Mollie followed at 13.02 weighing 5lb 14
I'm totally totally in love with them and spend most of my day just gazing in awe at them.
Unfortunately, we are still in hospital as both girls are jaundiced and lost slightly more than 10% body weight after the birth, Mollies hopefully getting the all-clear today, but Amelia's still in an incubator under a UV lamp. Hoping tomorrows resullts show we can go home
Will post my full birth story at a later date if I ever have another 5mins to myself!
Hope anyone else who's having mummy cuddles or are about to are doing ok and welcome to any new mums to be:j:T Gorgeous twin girls born 1st Nov 2012 :T:j0 -
Congrats Cake4brains.
Sorry that you're still in hospital though but hopefully you can go home soon. Love the names, by the way.

Gorgeous names and really good weights for twins too! Your poor belly must have been weighed down! Hope you get to go home soon.
Lady M - glad you knew about the orange, hope your levels go up soon
Rups - I liked the red too - good choice - lime or red were my favesEnjoy your chinese!! The monitor is expensive but its the only thing OH has decided we should have (gadgets!) so thats why we've got it.
Queen - thanks for the tip about the Lansinoh, it is usually very expensive so that is good to know, a very good price.
Any other 36 weekers not packed their hospital bags?!
I'm 36 weeks on Friday and I haven't yet.:o I'm having a planned C-Section but obviously want to get it done just before baby decides to make an appearance before then but I just can't get motivated.
Baby's changing bag did arrive yesterday though and I love it.:D Still waiting on a Boots order that has the last of my hospital bag things in and then I'll start.2019 Wins

well strictly I'm hoping not to need a hospital bag but I do need to pack one in case (and it's a good idea to have all my stuff in one place). Not yet packed it (37+2)....
I'm also waiting for my changing bag, I bought it last week and it's not arrived yet. In fact, as it was supposed to be couriered, I need to chase it up.0 -
Afternoon ladies
Busy day today, had my sister and younger niece (nearly 3) over and we went to toddler swimming and then back to mine for lunch and some playtimeniece told me my baby is a boy and I should call it Jack. Hopefully she won't be too upset if we don't call it that, or if it's a girl!
ended up dashing round Tesco first thing this morning though, as was too tired to go yesterday. Knackered now, even though we didn't do any proper swimming. It was fun though, we're going again next week if no baby in the meantime!
Big congratulations Cake, hope you get home soon with your beautiful girls
LadyM glad the jabs weren't too bad, hope you don't get much of a reaction xx
I've had my bag packed since 35 weeks, but only because we were going away for a weekend so needed it all ready. Am now 39 weeks and I keep forgetting to take my notes when I go out for the day! Must remember them!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160
