Hey everyone. :) Hope you're all okay. :)

Saw a different consultant today for a second opinion r.e. caesarean (apparently it's standard here to have a second opinion for elective caesareans). All I can say is that I wish I had her in the first place! She was so lovely and supportive and agreed with my reasons for wanting a caesarean and fully supported my decision. She works on the day I'm having my caesarean so I'm hoping that she'll be the one doing it as she was so lovely!
In other news, my urine sample today had glucose+++ and protein+ in it so I had to re-do it. I re-did it and the results were the same so the nurse wanted me to do a bigger sample so that the lab can test it. Cue drinking loads of water but I still couldn't produce enough! I have an appointment at the GP surgery tomorrow so said that I'll do another sample and then get the surgery to send it off. I'm a bit worried about the protein but my blood pressure is low (it has actually dipped since yesterday. BP today was 94/58. Yesterday it was 100/60). The consultant said that the cause could be that the urine was concentrated or that I might have thrush or that I could have a urine infection but that they want to send a sample off anyway just to make sure. It does hurt when I pee but it's more externally if that makes sense?

Really sorry for the long post!

LadyM... the external pain makes me think (even more) that you have thrush. When I've had it before, admittedly only a couple of times, I've not been particularly itchy but I've had little "cuts" all around down there.

How long til you get the results from the swab the gp did? Are you using the cream? Did you have a pessary?

I had an urine infection a couple of weeks ago, but it didn't hurt at all, if anything, it was a bit itchy but on the outside, and that stopped once I stopped using the panty liners, they were getting so get so quickly that my bits could not breath properly, sorry if tmi. I stopped using them and now I just use cotton underwear and change often during the day. The consultant just found protein in the urine and gave me antibiotics for a week to clear it up. It could be the same.

lady m hope your itching gets sorted. its def thrush. i have had that and like mentioed, i felt i was cut down there and going for a pee hurt externally. i would hate the pessary but if you are using it, and having loads of water, then it shuold help in a few days.

just totally shattered from work. i was sitting at home but the concentration has just taken it out of me. the client is so demanding and wanted his reports so had to do 2 for him. 5 more to go.. sigh..

fluff i am glad i am not craving poo. lol. soap is ok as opposed to that lol. dh thought that it was such a weird thing to crave. i have eaten soap before as a kid. loved it. lol.

oh i need more new underwear too as i find mine wet (from sweat/dishcharge - i dont know). harder to change when at work though. my belly is so uncomfy today:(

It feels like someone has taken a razorblade to my lady parts! I'm incredibly itchy too, which doesn't help.

I put the thrush cream on earlier and it made it burn even more as I think the skin is broken. :(

I found that panty liners irritated me even more, too. I used them because of the discharge but in the end because they were making me so itchy, they increased the discharge I was having! I stopped using them and the discharge has been better.

I only have the cream at the moment as the pharmacy had run out of the pessary but I'm picking that up tomorrow. Really dreading that! It was incredibly painful when the midwife did the swabs so I'm dreading having to stick anything up there, at the moment!

I have the flu jab and whooping cough jab tomorrow. Dreading it as I hate needles and can't remember what jabs feel like as I haven't had one in years! :(

I had both a few weeks ago, try and get them to put both in the same arm so you have a side left to sleep on! I hardly felt the flu one, and the other one was just a sharp scratch, like when you get blood taken, but it was over very quickly. Sore arms and felt a bit fevery for a couple of days though.

ladyM, when i went to see the GP a while back with thrush, she said she would write me a prescrp for a pessary and i made a foul facial expression and said am scared of putting it up me, and to my horror she replied 'well you have had your husband's p---s up there, havent you?'. i was so shocked and speechless. i never went to see her again. cow!! i used the cream and it went away with that. also drank lots of cranberry juice. yuck.

good luck with the jabs. you will be fine. i hate needles too. had my whooping cough one 2 weeks ago and arm hurt for 3 days and today had my flu one, arm is a bit sore and just feel so tired. you will be fine..

so i just asked my cousin to get us the buggy and the car seat. woo hoo. that was the last urgent things to get as we hadnt decided on a car seat. hopefully we get a good discount on it. :)
