Morning ladies, hope everyone slept well? I struggled because both my arms are sore after my jabs yesterday! She wouldn't do them both in the same arm!!
My midwife did measure me yesterday and I'm not too big... Yay! I'm 27cm at 28 weeks which is average... I'm happy with that and going to stop worrying now about what other people say.

I'm going to a friends for lunch today, I've not seen her for a while so looking forward to it, but I'm just so tired my eyes just want to close. It doesn't help that the kitchen delivery has taken over the whole of the downstairs so I've been sat in bed watching tv all morning.

Scottishchick you made me laugh with the shoplifting comment!!! I have a couple if friends who are due any day and I've purposely not asked them anything because I remember people on here saying how annoying it is

ahh hugs elisabeth. hope your arms recover soon. i have my flu jab next week and a guy at work is making me worried about taking it. he said that how come the gps arent asking women with their own accord to take the WC and flu jab? I said no one told me to take it at the surgery and i asked about it.. he was just looking so scientifically into it and wondered what good the flu jab does?

Mine did phone me up to ask me to come in for both jabs. Which is great, except I'd already booked in to have it with them! So much for checking their records.

Oh, and the midwife specifically told me to go to the GP for the flu vaccine. She didn't for the whooping cough as no-one had told them yet, just told the whole world via press release, but she did say to phone my GP and ask them.

It may be that you got in there before they offered it to you Rups. I had a call from my surgery offering both, I'd been meaning to call and book myself in for a few days but hadn't got around to it. Flu can hit pregnant women much harder which is why it is recommended (I think the jab may also offer some protection to the baby but I'm not sure on that).

thanks ladies. i have had the WC one and flu is next week. i was thinking about the protection factor as well as if we do get it it will be ten times worse. i suppose each to their own decision. i know iam booked to have it.

HK no they haven't checked, l have no more scheduled mw appts.

Having second thoughts about the pineapple. Think l'm more likely to just end up being sick. Will try one as l quite like it. Someone else suggested massaging the dimple in my ankles, will get Mr Taadaa onto that, he will be pleased!

Scottishchick l know - l feel like the world and its granny is waiting for me to give birth. Because a large dose of pressure is exactly what overdue pregnant women need.....

taadaaand scottishchick I went 12 days overdue, my only thing I found was it was enjoyable to go to shops and see the colour drain from people's faces when you said you were due 10 days ago :rotfl: you definitely didn't have to queue :rotfl:
