I was told today at the antenatal class that we can also ask the midwife to be referred for acupuncture through the NHS, I am asking her next week!!

That's interesting Marta, I will ask the MW. Provided baby is now cephalon (I think he is but seeing consultant next week to check) I want to try reflexology and/or acupuncture to kick start labour.

Glad baby is head down, fingers crossed they will spin round for you. A few friends have had back to back labours and one said an epidural was a godsend but the other said it was as bearable as her other labours just slightly more difficult at the pushing stage.

I will definitely be trying some exercises even though my midwife won't advise of any as she says they don't work but they seem to work for plenty of women.

The physio at the antenatal class said that they were offering it to relieve pain, as I asked about my lower back, not sure if they also offer it to help with kick start labour... you can always say you are in pain though!

littlemoog my daughter turned back to back whilst I was in labour so they definitely can move at the last minute! And yes an epidural was a god send! But did deliver naturally despite her position and size so don't worry x x

Anyone got any ideas when the next asda baby event will be?

Had 1st appointment with consultant and just an introductory meeting, seeing again at 36 weeks

Morning all

Supposed to be having a lie in this morning, but I'm wide awake, boo! having a lounge in bed listening to the Today program before I get up though, so not all bad

Had a lovely day with my aunt yesterday, and finished my planned batch cooking for after Beanie is here. Our freezer is crammed with hm ready meals now, no space for anything else now! Just my knitting projects to finish now and I'll be ready for this baby

Off to meet a couple of MSE ladies who've already had their babies for lunch today, looking forward to some squidgy baby cuddles

Yayy LittleMoog - glad you got all sorted that you wanted to! Have fun with the squishes! Babies can definitely turn in labour - mine didn't but he was kicking on the way out! My friends turned though!

I'd like to apologise to all those ladies who were overdue and complaining about people calling or messaging them to see if baby was here yet. I thought they were moaning for nothing and it was nice that people cared but now i realise it's not it's annoying! :mad:

Even the MIL called yesterday to see if baby was here! I think if it was here she'd be one of the first to know.

Walking round Tesco this morning and a few people said "isn't baby here yet?" I felt like saying "yes, this massive bump is just a basketball I'm shoplifting!"
