How would wet socks help you to sleep?! Sounds horrible
Glad your mum's getting better, so nice that she'll be able to see him when he's born
I am looking forward to tomorrow in that it's cool to think I will have finally reached due date. Seems such a long time since getting bfp, and I thought that the end would never get here. BUT, I just feel that it's still going to be aaaages before baby is born, so in a way I'm trying not to think about it, so that I won't end up being more disappointed :cool:0 -
Today I've renewed my home insurance, called mothercare about my dodgy tommy tippee monitor (the batteries die after about 3 hours, so its totally useless and needs changing) and booked my whooping cough appointment for next tuesday. That's my productivity done for the day. I'm now going to sit on the sofa and eat the dolly mixtures that are in my hospital bag. I'll just have to buy more!

Well its an old wives tale but apparently if you have restless legs, if you wet your socks and wear them in bed, it helps you sleep. Which is great ... except it doesn't do anything except make you feel that you are wearing wet socks!
There's something special about your due date, even though I still don't believe there is anything scientific about how they give it to you. But it does feels like a bit of an achievement to have reached it doesn't it! I'd assume your baby isn't going to arrive tomorrow and make plans anyway. Definitely go out of the house. People's faces when they ask you when you're due and you answer "TODAY" are hilarious. A male shop assistant physically recoiled away from me yesterday as though I was about to explode right in front of him!! :rotfl:0 -

Haha, that's one of the weirdest old wives tales I've heard!
Already have plans for tomorrow anyway, so that should take my mind off things. Mum's asked me to go to the papercraft show with her, so providing the tickets aren't too expensive, we'll be doing that. If I could get enough stuff cleared (finally made a good start yesterday) from our bedroom, I might try and persuade dad to come round in the evening and help OH move the bedroom furniture around.... judging by my progress today though, that may not be necessary, have done hardly anything so far0 -
Congratulations everyone who's met their little ones & labour vibes to those who need them
I can't quite believe how quickly I'm moving up the list, although there seemed to be quite a few late september / early october due dates.
My friend has had her baby today, a little boy which was a nice surprise although I was pretty sure she was having a boy. She was due 27/9 so just over a week overdue. I'm really looking forward to going & visiting for cuddle but want to let her have a bit of space & time to get settled with himHe's gorgeous too, makes me even more excited to meet Bean but it feels like we have ages to wait (due Jan 29th).
Movements are getting more obvious now & I'm really enjoying it. OH is enjoying it more now that he's getting to feel more of the movements. Over the last few nights we've been able to lay & watch my bump move tooWe can't tell what's making the movement but you can definitely see the kick! It's fascinating to watch & I can't wait until we get more obvious movements & little feet sticking out
My bump seems to have got much bigger in the last few days. I got up on tuesday & the OH asked what had happened in the nightI blamed him & said he'd obviously put a bicycle pump in my belly button & inflated me! It's not really hideable anymore which I'm pleased about & it's a definite bump as opposed to looking like I've had too many pies.
I'm tempted to book myself in for a pedicure at a salon I used to work at tomorrow. I'm really struggling to paint my toes now & they're in dire need of doing, I can't do naked toenails0 -

2 away from the boldies........it's dragging soooooooo much now.
my youngest has never been a good sleeper and the past few nights we've been in and out of bed to her god knows how many times and we're all shattered, i know theres nothing wrong with her and i would just let her cry but she shares with my other daughter and i dont want her to wake up so we have to go in to her. were decorating babies room next week so when thats done, little miss wide awake is going in there til she learns how to sleep thro, baby will be in with us til 9 months at the earliest so hopefully madam will be settled by then.
i miss sleepSkint, but happy (ish):p0
