  • Best wishes to all the new mummy's (there have been so many since I last posted, Ive lost track!) and to the new ladies. Hope everyone is well

Ive been so ill this week with lurgy. Got bad chest, throat, ears and no energy. Feeling so sorry for myself, especially as I went docs yesterday and he said I didnt have a chest infection and all I can do is gargle salt water. (TMI) Ive been coughing up green phlegm for the last few days fgs! So left the docs empty-handed and as soon as I saw my DH I burst into tears :rotfl:. Just feel that if I go into labour now I wont be able to breathe / cope properly cos I feel so bad. Anyway thats enough of my whinging.

Cant believe how quickly Im flying down the list!!! Its a bit scary how soon I could have my babies. I talk on another thread just for twins and there are so many people having their babies around 33/34 weeks:eek:.

Have read back so many pages Ive forgotten what everyones said. Rups I remember you mentioned getting ready for Christmas, we have told everyone they are just getting small token gifts this year, just stocking fillers etc. Have been picking up bits for the last month or so as I know we wont want to be out shopping when babies are here. Going to make a few Christmas cakes to give out too. Got the fruit soaking so I'd better get a move on with those

Im the size of a house now so cant really do the shopping I want to before the babies arrive! Everyones been so shocked at me recently saying Ive grown so much the last couple of weeks

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend xx

  • Hello, well I just had an embarassing half hour! I've been keeping a scrapbook/diary throughout my pregnancy, and whilst I was still working I did a lot of the printing at work (naughty!), but now I'm on maternity leave I can't do that anymore (they would be able to see from the printer's log that I'd used it), so I went down to my local library to use their internet and printer today. I had about 5 or 6 sheets to print - some text and some images. Because its my scrapbook and its private, there are some bump picture of me in my bra and knickers in it, so when i went in, I did say to the guy, "I'll be printing a few sheets, I'll come and collect them, don't worry about picking them up" and intended to make sure those ones pictures were in the middle of the pile. Well when I printed them I went straight over and he's sat looking at my bump pictures. Agh awkward!! He looked more embarassed to have been caught than me though :rotfl:

  • Congrats Shery. Sorry your birth wasn't as planned (which really does seem to be the case for a lot of people at the minute!!) but at least he's here now. I LOVE the name Jude, but OH wasn't keen. It was in my top two.

Congrats shery! It is good to know everything is ok despite the difficulties. Lol moneypudle at the bump prints!
Rups, are you ok? You have been quiet the last couple of days :(
Ikkle, I hope everything starts all of a sudden and you get a good birth soon.
Savage, how was your meeting on Friday? Did you see anything you liked?
I went to my local day nursery to ask about fees, and gosh I had a shock!! £160 full time per week, £40 per day or £20 half a day. I might need 2 to 3 full days, it is going to cost a fortune!!! What other options are there?
    Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

    13/12/2012, baby girl!!!
  • Childminders? Friends and family?

Nursery is typically £40 per day here too (North Yorkshire)
