Congrats PunkPink! What a little titch! I hope you and Tylah are doing OK?

We've been very quiet recently! Have all the rowdies just given birth?

My bits are killing me today. I can hardly sit in my chair at work, but I'm too embarrassed to sit on a cushion! I didn't have this with DD! We were decorating DD's new room at the weekend, so we can move her out of the nursery. I can't wait until it's finished. And we visited my BF and her 3 week old girl. I can't wait to be off with our new baby now, although the grass is always greener, because my friend was looking at my DD (22 months) and saying that she can't wait until her baby is up a bit as the lack of sleep is killing her and with a newborn you don't get any smiles or cuddles back.

The birth list is very long now. When do we remove people?

Did everyone have a good weekend?

Morning all

Congrats to 2b on team pink and zcrat on team blue, exciting news! Big congrats to punkpink as well, even though you've moved me up the list even further :eek: Glad you and little girl are well, must have been very stressful.

Rups, I ordered a gym ball from the NCT website, but I think you can get them from lots of places - important to make sure it's anti-burst though, and that you get the right height for you - I think you said you're quite short, so go for a 55cm one. I'm 5'8" so went for a 65cm one, but could almost do with it being a bit taller still.

Been rotten with cold all weekend, but DH has been looking after me very well. Feeling much better today, last Monday at work til next August as well, as I'm off on Monday next week. :j

We went to a nearly new sale on Saturday where we picked up some bargains (like-new bouncy chair £2!) and on Sunday we packed the hospital bags so we're ready if I go into labour while we're away next weekend. Went to Mothercare and picked up some nursing bras, but will have to take them back as the fit is so rubbish. Will wait til after the weekend though, as it's now too late to get fitted anywhere else before we're away. Our NCT bumps and babes group has a bra fitting lady who's apparently very good, so will go there in my first week off to get sorted.

edit: CL I think people stay on the birth list for 2 or 3 months, not sure which!

Ive had a very long and boring weekend! I went out for a couple of cans of pop with my friends on Saturday (and felt all jealous that they were supping lager or wine!!!)

Ive live on junkfood this weekend as I just couldn’t be bothered to cook! Normally I love cooking but have felt so lethargic its even been a chore to dial the pizza place!!

Labour vibes to the boldies....

Rups (or anyone else who is looking), Lidl have a gym ball in at the moment for £4.99. I don't know if it's antiburst or how big it is but might be worth a look if there is one near you. I got mine from TK maxx for about £7 but I know tesco have some that are often on offer. I'm 5'6'' and got a 65cm one.

I had this problem too They didn't have my size in the maternity bra so I can't vouch for how they fit. I figured I may as well get a nursing bra as, afaik, the only difference is really the clips. The fit was really bad & I had to take it back It's a shame because it looked really promising compared to some of the other bras I've seen. The best one I've found so far is the debenhams one but I'd like some nice underwear for when I do my bump shoot nearer to our due date

Congratulations to everyone who's met their little ones since I last posted, seems there's a few queue jumpers at the moment It seems like an eternity until our due date, I can't wait to meet Bean but I'd much rather wait & have a healthy baby so I shall just have to be patient I'm working a half day today so we're going to meet my friends little boy who was born on Friday morning, definitely looking forward to some newborn cuddles!

Just a few quick questions. I know I've seen it discussed somewhere before but can't find it for the life of me. What brands of maternity pads & breast pads can people recommend? I know there were some people said to avoid because they were a bit rubbish!
