  • Oh Marta I have the same problem… it’s doing nothing for me but weirdly I’m happy to keep him happy still so have enjoyed entertaining him as I know he enjoys it iykwim!

I’m lucky too that although I look awful – he loves knowing his baby is in there so is all over me and it isn’t ruining things for us…because I can sense how great he feels about it all, it keeps me feeling good! He also keeps telling me I don’t look too big which is lovely for my self-esteem!

OH keeps rubbing my tummy for me when it is sore so has been exposed to my stretchmark’s but tells me they are skin coloured so look fine….

Rups – the heat in my office sends me to sleep in afternoons too L And I HATE being called preggers… errr I have a name… a perfectly good one!

Hi girls hope all is well with everyone, i no this question has been probably asked 100 times (apologies in advance) but how many nappies roughly did you stock up on?

    I have 77 pampers
    81 huggies and
    27 sainsburys ALL size one.

And i have one pack of 33 size 2 and the parents bought me a huge pack of size 3.

Im wondering do i have more than enough size ones now and should i start stocking up on the size 2s? I no its hard to say with size etc but just a rough idea would be fabulous!

    Thank you!

On another random note, bubbas movements for a week or two seemed to be going wild! He/She was having a whale of a time, now its much more quiet i feel him/her squirming about but hardly any kicks or as many movements. Wonder if my placenta has moved? Im trying not to panic or overdramatise it i feel the odd thing but no where near what i did previously...anyone else had this?

Sorry for the long post, i dont post hardly at all then i go on one!

P.S good luck and any labour vipes to those who need them!!!

Savage, thanks for that link, I will see if I can go and collect. I went today to the aquanatal in Altrincham, very good too but they do not have the coffee session afterwards with the midwife. Are you going tomorrow to the other one?
Not tomorrow, I'm hoping to go try out slings at the Manchester Sling Meet instead http://manchesterslingmeet.com/our-meetings/
Actually not next week either as that's the first appointment I could get with the nurse at my GP for my whooping cough / flu vaccine.

TBH Jenjen I wouldn't buy anymore nappies. Babies are all different and one certain brand might suit them better than another, plus size 2 is just a cross over inbetween size of size 1 and 3 so you probably won't need that many of them.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

lol i think my dh is the same. worried about the bump. grrrr i need some at times though. not always as feel yuck and hairy anyway lol. dh teases my bum and said look at that lovely pork chop lol. i just laugh at that.

jenjen i have the same issue as you but was told that at times baby is more active on some days and just tired on others. so we will have both wild and quiet days. yest was quiet for me,but this morning i felt stuff. :)

I've not had two weeks of frantic movements followed by a tail off but I definitely have days where there's a lot going on and others when there's not much going on. Also sometimes more movements where I can feel them easily, and sometimes some where I can't. I was quite suprised to note that some movements I can't feel unless I have my hands on my bump. As baby grows there's less space so you might feel less movements too.
  • I'm getting very excited about cleaning products, but I think that's because I'm living in the House Of Dust at the moment, as we've been having renovations carried out. But it's almost finished and I've got my NEW KITCHEN! Which is hugely exciting. And I have so far bought a steam mop, microfibre cloths and granite cleaner to keep it clean. I don't even like cleaning.

Fluff, you're all wrong. Dysons are rubbish, my Henry is where it's at :D (though I could quite fancy a Dyson fan, if they weren't a million quid).

Rups, I have crusty n1pples, not even leaky ones. It's quite satisfying picking it off, obviously they do leak occasionally but I don't notice it - I'm really super hot, I can't imagine how DH keeps his hands off me.

And on that subject... we're still at it quite a lot. It's blinking awkward, as bump gets in the way, but I don't want to lose that part of our relationship; I don't want to feel like just an incubator - it's like people out and about define me by the bump, so I don't want my husband to do it as well. He has been fantastic though at making me feel attractive and wanted - and we're still having fun!

I have one pack of newborn nappies. I STILL haven't bought anything else (although my amazing friends have donated all the clothes in the world for baby, so I don't need to think about those), and I've already started planning and making lists for Christmas. I think there may be an element of 'head in the sand' happening.
