  • Katyliz, Im the same re housework. I attempt a bit of cleaning up for 5 mins and Im exhausted!

Thanks for all the replies about the nursing bra's. All my usual bra's still fit so I might just get a cheap one for now in the next cup size up. I havent changed bra size all the way through pregnancy so that might do me (even though Mothercare managed to con me into buyin a maternity bra that doesnt fit right:o)

Gilly, thanks I will buy a couple of different types of dummies. Hopefully I will never have to get them out the pack!

    Welcome to Newcook

Toni and Ikkle, I didnt get my red books when the HV came round. She said I wouldnt get them until I had the babies. Maybe it varies from hosp to hosp

Had my scan today. All is fine, blood pressure normal, babies are head down so its all systems go for natural birth. Said to go back in 4 weeks if I last that long and they will then start talking about inducing me. Also recommends epidural as sometimes with twins they have to reach inside to grab the 2nd baby :eek::eek:. Said to DH I dont want an epidural if I can help it but if theyre going to treat me like a cow I'll need one :rotfl:

Cant believe I am so close to having my babies :T:T:T

Cake4Brains I've already got my red book lol.

Exciting about your babies being due soon, I think it's because the 2nd twin can turn round cos they aren't used to having so much room lol. Do you have any names picked yet?

Housework is housework to me I just do what needs doing, OH didn't appreciate me doing the bedroom at 1am though while he was asleep lol.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx
  • Haha, DH would get worried if I started doing housework at any time of day / night. Its never been my finest quality! Luckily, DH is good at doing HW and washing up etc. Its just not something I have ever prioritised, so Im really hoping nesting does kick in

We've still got 2 names on our list but we havent finished reading the baby name books we have yet. Really need to get on that

health visitors just been, all went ok apart from my labradoodle nearly knocking her over! very embarasing, i though i'd leave him indoors for a change becuase hes got to get used to meeting strangers as when the babys here we're going to have quite a few visitors, big mistake that was! next time hes going in the garden lol.
She came with a student, i got my red book, lots more bits of paper to read, i really shouldn't of spent all morning worrying becuase she was really friendly and lovely :)

The one I got cheap was this one:

Would recommend it unless you are a large cup size to begin with, I was a B now prob a C, will likely be a D when milk comes in! It's just stretchy with no seams or anything so if you're large it might not be supportive enough. Figured I could use it at night even if it wasn't great at support as somewhere to stuff breast pads so the sheets don't get soaked :)

Cake that's great that you look set for a natural birth :) I'm annoying DH because I can't make my mind up over the name. I have a list of about 10 since I gave up on my original choice, but I can't pick and he wants me to decide before we go to the hospital. So I'd better make my mind up tomorrow really!

toni, I'm glad it went well with the HV. She sounds nice, I'm hoping mine will be too. I love Labradoodles they look so gorgeous and cuddly :)

It must be nice to have all your furniture Rups. Is BIL still leaving or have his plans changed?

thanks KatyLiz, hes lovely, only 7 months old but very big and strong already!

Rups dont worry, you have a little while left, i have just left everything to the last minute as usual lol.....

i got measured for a nursing bra sunday at mothercare, i was measured a 34C when i got measured in may for a strapless maternity bra to go with my wedding dress, sunday i was measured 36C so i just got 2 nursing bras that size the women recommended, she said a wont need to go up the D cup, i have a feeling there going to be too small though, might get a couple of cheap ones just in case.... she said you just need to be able to have a 2 finger gap and they should be fine
