Decorator finished and gone - I'm absolutely shattered, and could really do with an afternoon nap. Do you think it'll be ok to sleep in there as long as I leave the windows open? NHS website seems to make it look like it would be ok, but a few other websites say not to sleep in a newly painted room. There hasn't been any glosswork done - just emulsion and vinyl silk emulsion.

I'm not sure sexymouse. I think officially they advise not to, but I can't see the difference between sleeping in there for an hour's nap and painting for an hour, and loads of people paint whilst pregnant.

Maybe I should try to sleep on the spare room bed for a bit if I can actually sleep on it - it was so uncomfy last time I tried.

sexymouse, maybe try a room that isnt painted as you are right the windows have to be left open. that smell would drive me mad right now. yuck.

marta i am confused now. i calculate number of weeks as i am not 26 weeks (27 on monday) and until my due date which is 24th i made it 10. could be me miscalculating as i am making errors all the time anyway. actually you are right lol..we are end of sept nearly and i have end of dec nearly doh!!

went to my local cafe and had a spanish omlette and then chips. went to the shop then and bough some useless sweets (like liquorice and dolly mixtures). will have a slice of lemon cake (moon cake) with tea in a bit. wanted to take the afternoon off but havent heard as feeling yuck still. its the chest now.

I wouldn't sexymouse but then I'm one of those people who try to follow all the guidelines because I'm too scared!
Re: stretpsils - sorry Rups but I'm pretty sure we can't have them or Halls/Soothers, anything like that. I know people have mentioned hot water with lemon and honey before. As far as I know this is all we can have. If you're just struggling a bit, try to sip it slowly or sip anything throughout the day and that should help (at least I find that it does!).

Hope you get some sleep in the spare room sexymouse. I just had a google myself and it does seem that it's best not to sleep in there.

Rups hope you're feeling better soon. I think it's the sudden change to cooler weather that always knocks people. Both my kids have got sniffly and chesty the last couple of days.

I'm due in 10 weeks; I'm 30wks pregnant and I'm due on the 30th November. So you can't possibly be due in 10 weeks, unless you're really hoping that baby makes an appearance at 37 weeks! I think you've got 13 weeks to go...

Sexymouse, I wouldn't worry too much. Since getting pregnant I've stripped a room of wallpaper, sanded woodwork (probably covered in lead paint) down, had a wall knocked down and I'm in the process of having a new kitchen and floor fitted (with associated carpet adhesive and paint fumes). To be honest, the only thing which has affected me is the dust which has been EVERYWHERE for ages and making me cough.

yes have def got it wrong then dates wise. not with it. i tld you guys anyway lol. i was assuming end of preg term at 36 weeks. lol.

Rups today you are 26+3 if baby is due 24/12/2012 which means you have 13+4 to go xx

You're going to have a VERY long two months if you're assuming baby is going to come at 36 weeks...!
