Oh, thanks everybody
I waited for my OH to wake up this morning and he said basically the same, he thinks they have offered whilst thinking I would say no, anyway, because they haven't got holidays left ( they have to ask for favours to get cover) and they know you cannot give a window of 5 days, I was born myself just over 30 weeks, so they perfectly know labour does not happen when one wants it! They are so mean too, I sent them pics last weekend and they comented on how big my bump is and how much weight I have put on, I am in the normal expected weight gain! It is the only thing they've mentioned so far.
Argh..they really drive me mad, sorry, it is just that most of the stuff they say is aimed at looking good in the eyes of others, they perfectly know it is not reasonable to ask me to give them a window of up to 5 days when I will know for sure labour will come; they were asking to be at that time, labour, not later to meet baby. And I hate the fact that they speak about the baby with a sense of property, it is never the baby, it is "our grandaughter" and when they say "your daughter" they use the Spanish "singular you" and not the plural for both my husband and I, as if the baby were only mine and theirs! I really wish they had had a huge family with lots of kids, so they could be concentrating on someone else.
Tours and waterbirths. Mine has tours every weekend at the same time, so you just pop in. I asked for water birth too, I read that the water helps the pain and softens the area so you might not need to do any cut down there. When I am in labour, they will check if everything is ok and my blood pressure is fine, if it is high you cannot have a water birth because they need to put you some monitor that cannot go in the water, also you can only have gas and air, but I heard the water itself provides some relief. I told my midwife I wanted that, and I will write it somewhere in my notes with the request that only DH can be during labour with me! Lol
I downloaded a silly app to make kegels, it is called kegel cat lol, I will let you know if it is any good, it was free so I might give it a go.
I am curious to know the difference between expected due date and actual labour from those who have had their babies, is there a way of knowing other than comparing previous lists with the current one? I wanted to see what is the average. I mean in the list here, like I said my EDD is the 8th/12, but if I give birth, let's say the 12th, then I would have been +4 days over EDD. Is there any list around like that to see other MSE's users differences? Just to get an idea of if it is more common to go over, under, and for how long.
I had something else but I forgot...Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Happy due date mishka!
Good luck to ikkle andMMM!
Snowbean - I know you won't get to read this before your test as you're probably doing it now, but good luck anyway!
Dizsie - good luck with appointment today, keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Sorry Marta but I've got no idea about differences between due date and actual labour.
I still haven't washed baby's clothes:o I guess I'm still in denial about being so close to giving birth (19th Oct) and I keep finding 'more important' things to do. Hopefully it'll get done before baby makes an appearance though.:jBaby girl born 3rd October 2012:j0 -
Rups, my OH is starting to worry that I don't have a plan. He's more worried about what I might want with me than the detail of what pain relief etc etc, so he's trying to get me to decide if I want music, soft lighting, birthing ball, warm towels, whatever so he can make sure it comes with. I think it'll make him feel better if we have something written down so will try to pull together something soon (and pack my bag even though it's early!). Nothing stopping you drawing up a plan now and changing it later on if you feel you want to after chatting to the midwife or after antenatal classes.0

Oh, bikelesschick, I meant here, in our list. I have updated my post because the question was confusing. I meant how many days between the EDD and the actual day of labour, if it happened at any other time than at the EDD. Just curious about what the average is, going over, going under, being spot on, etc. I might have a look at previous lists and check. Thanks!Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Thanks for all the good luck wishes guys. I failed though. For something really unfortunate too. I feel so sad, like I've just thrown £100 down the drain. I feel like such an idiot.0

Thanks Diszie. I just feel so angry with myself. Just sitting here crying now, which is stupid too, cos it won't make it any better.0
