marta, I'd tell them to wait until the baby is about a month old. Same problem with my mother (but nowhere as bad as yours, as we have more space and she can speak the language!) but I couldn't handle the stress of her here as well. We just want the two of us for about a week or two, and with needing to book flights in advance, and babies having a month long window which they can arrive and still be considered 'full term'.... not worth it. In our case we've got Christmas and New Year also around the same time (I'm convinced I'll be 2 weeks late so puts me mid-December, so 2 weeks from then....) which makes things even more complicated. How much do flight prices vary for your parents depending on how close you book? Could you perhaps ask them to come after your MIL has left rather and explain you just really don't have the space?

    morning ladies.

wow some of you were up till late?

Hope you are all ok. Happy due date mishka! and good luck MMM, and ikkle. Hope all goes well with you guys today xx

marta i agree with ikkle too. i mean at least you have the control in this way to allow when your parents can come. i think i will go mad if my inlaws and mum and brothers etc are there all the time. i know they will come to visit but i m hoping it will be quick :p the inlaws are too close actually so i am hoping we get some spacew otherwise will ask for it.

belly feels weird today. my right side hurts again and feels heavy. stupid arm was hurting again. does anyone get that? like cramps in the arm? i think my dinner last night may have somehting to do with belly too. feel so gassy (had kidney bean curry) oops. just feel tired as always and hubby was making me walk so fast to the bus stop. :(

  • Ladies - will you wish me luck today please...

I am off to see the consultant this afternoon to hopefully be discharged from consultant led care and put back down to low risk.

All my scans have been 50th centile, GTT test was normal etc but I have a raised BMI...

If I get back to low risk I might be able to use the birthing pool :)

rups, sounds like your babs is down the right side. i think thats where one of your main arteries is tho so it can feel very uncomfy... it can cause all funny stuff like varicose veins. if you are really lucky like me you will get one in the ole ladygarden too! oh the joys and miracle of child bearing,

just watching a bit of jez with tea and crumpets before i start my snipping and crafting. hubby thinks hes going to come home to me looking like this:
