Never soak your nappies ikkle, it reduces the longevity, and on some nappies will void the warranty. As long as you don't leave them more than 48 hours with poop on, they shouldn't stain, if you do get any stains, sunlight takes it right out
I meant put em in your nappy pail not soak em I was trying to cook tea, wake OH up, read and post at the same time lol, think I've failed at multi tasking. x
Thank you for clarifying though, I've edited my post. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I just saw that Argos has a baby event until the 25th, some of the stuff is half price and free delivery: here. Sorry if it has already been posted! Do you think any of these is a "really good price", or should I continue to look around? I was thinking of buying the bottles, the grobag and the monitor.

Word of advice don't post on fb about the health visitor coming to your house - I've had both my nan and mum adamant that I must have had the baby over the weekend and not told them because HV's don't come out before the birth lol xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

how weird.. dh just came back from kung fu and as soon he starts talking, i felt movements.
i am a bit sad though because he is acting like he has to see all his friends like it is the end of the world. so he says he will try cutting down social events (on his side) but he seems to be going out more and more. maybe i am a bit envious because i cant do that anymore? i have to beg to be taken out for dinner and stuff yet he is more than happy going for drinks etc..:(Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Maybe he does think that having a baby will have a massive impact on social events, Rups? Some friends of mine had their baby at the beginning of the year and they told us not to change routines or habits, in general. They said that the baby should adapt to us, instead of the opposite. Maybe he is scared it means the end of his social life, and he is trying to be part of it now? He might feel you and the baby will be part of his post-natal life, thus he will have time for you both later? Idk... maybe a chat about how things might change but not necessarily 180 degrees? Just small changes in the routine?
My friends also said we should do things at home as usual, so have the TV on or put the dishwasher at night for the Economy 7, they said that the baby gets used quickly to noises and sleeps better than having everything in absolute silence and waking up every time there is an unexpected noise.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Hi all- just checking in quickly to say a massive thank you to everybody for the well wishes.
I'm so so happy to announce the arrival of Oliver Jack Albie Roberts at 10:20am weighing 7lbs. He's absolutely perfect and so far everything is going well- the csection was worse than I was expecting, but breastfeeding has been easier than I thought so far. He's currently asleep on my breast
