Rups, hope you have a productive day ringing around & get something sorted

AFM the strange feelings in my bump lasted until evening time then got fewer and far between. Hoping it was just babies moving around a lot and fighting for space. Only happened once this morning after one of my cats stood on my bump trying to get my attention.

Labour vibes to those that need them xx

Rups, the telephone number for the day assessment unit at Croydon University Hospital is 020 8401 3469. When I saw the MW, she said that anything before 24 weeks you should go to A&E, anything beyond that is the labour ward. If there was anything going wrong at this point (which, I want to make clear, I REALLY REALLY don't think there is), there's nothing that anyone could do for you; it would just be a case of managing pain because the baby isn't viable yet.

I had really bad stretching achy sore pain in my side for about a week, around the same time as you are now. It went. Your body is going through some enormous changes; it's going to feel odd and potentially hurt occasionally. It doesn't necessarily mean that there's anything wrong, particularly as it's not cramping pain and you're not bleeding or anything.

Dizsie that does sound offensive. For some reason I have a yellow mustard colour in my mind. Can you take off the cover? Sometimes it's a lovely plain wicker basket underneath.

Lol it so is mustardy!!! I need something thought for the hood and to keep it soft round the edges :)

This is most likely right... I have LOADS of pain all the time and it worries OH or my mum when I 'ooh' and 'arrgh' from the pain but it has been nothing to worry about - it is just that our bodies aren't used to it! :)

    hello ladies... how are you?

thanks so so much for your lovely messages. hope you have all been ok. xx missmonkeymoo hope you are feeling better and have made up with DH. i do hate those situations because once you are upset then it takes ages to calm down especially with our hormones all over the place! hope he feels bad. hehe iam so bad.

i just turned up at the EPU and waited for a bit. Its so weird as our neighbour works there and she dealt with me and said if i need any help i should just go knock on her door, and i said she would regret that as i am always worrying .lol. so she calmed me and said the doc was on his way in, and he would try and listen to the heartbeat and assess what the pain was and if no heartbeat, then a scan. i was calm and waited. so i asked when can go to the epu and she said upto 20 weeks and after that its the labour ward. phew at least i know. obv if its so bad then A&E too.

he checked me out and said these are very common (i know you have all told me, but i was to the point of feeling a lot of discomfort). then he used the doppler and at first we kept hearing my heart beat and then we heard little bubba's fast heartbeat. :) that made me happy. so no scan and he said to just keep an eye on pain and spotting etc as we are all at higher risk of gall bladders (because the way we eat or not eat), and also appendicitis. so he checked all that and said it seemed ok and just stretching. also said to keep an eye for thrush etc. anyway i am calmer now.:) thank you so much for putting up with me. i am glad i just went there! :) and nnow i know i can bug my neighbour. hehe

i then rang dh to tell him and then he kind of listened as he was work and then said he is in the middle of work and then i saw he had been on facebook! so annoying!!!

ps. i have had two women saying to me that they had noticed i have put on weight. one of them said yesterday that my boobs are bigger. seriously people!!

I'm so sleepy today, OH said he was off to play Xbox last night but he went to bed instead and took the whole bed up and I couldn't get in :(

Gonna move my living room round today as think it will make a bit more space :) then gonna wash bedding, clean the kitchen and do some baking :)

I've put the new curtains up in bubs room that I got from Woolworths the other week and the matching moses basket OH bought came this morning.

Making a lasagne for tea too, yummy x

I must have been quite lucky then, no real stretchy type pain at all so far. I do feel 'tight' often across my skin when my bump's expanding though :) I also had pain in my bumcheeks earlier on but even that wasn't painful as such, more just discomfort.
