Thanks guys. Wish my bloody cervix would get the message. I have a secret hope she will go to do the sweep and go, Oooh you are already 2cm. As I have had next to no pains, niggles and other symptoms I'm guessing that's not happening. Doh!

Ooh does the witch hazel not sting? I'm a wimp for things like that! (Better get used to it!)

It doesn't sting at all. If you keep it in the fridge it's very soothing.

If anyone sees any bargains on a mattress for a cot bed, can you post it? I got a Mama's & Papas cot bed, collection only, for £30 to use as a spare in my Mum's and don't want to spend a fortune on a mattress. They gave DH their mattress, but I wouldn't use a stranger's mattress.
  • twinklie you don't necessarily have to get all these pains and niggles. I've never had any with my kids. With my daughter I went from feeling totally fine and wandering round the shops to her being born within 24 hours. No warning signs of any kind at all.

ikkle I wonder if things are starting to happen for you. It certainly sounds like he's very low if nothing else. Good luck for Wednesday, (if he hasn't shown up by then) hope you manage to see the same person again.

    rant time....

My oh's cat lives outside, we have a very large garden and the garage window is always open for her. We decided to keep her out because she keeps weeing in our house. Yesterday DH decides he wants the cat in and we will take full charge of the cleaning, feeding, changing litter etc...
I am cleaning today, actually having a nice day till i discovered that the bag that i packed with most of my shoes and DD's is full of cats wee... i will have to throw them all away. Iam not happy and have to go out now to clean nana's house, i am really not in the mood.

CL, argos are quite good. I found a lovely furniture set on there - mammas and papas and they had some sort of deals with matresses too.

I meant to say the cotbed I got was collection from E-Bay. It's just a spare as we have DDs.

I think for occasional use only I'd be tempted to go for the cheapest foam mattress (something like this )

  • Ikkle hugs hun, the irony for me is that sitting on the toile tis the one place I feel comfy at the mo but I can't sit in the bathroom all day long! Hope it's a sign that baby is getting ready to come along for you though.

Thanks to everyone for their support and kind words. I;m feeling abit better today but still not 100%. Have managed to eat some bread and jam but that's about it. Have also been asleep most of the morning and I'm still tired so def going to try and cat nap some more whilst i have the place to myself and I am able to!

Morocha how old is your cat? I can sympathise with the ruined bag of things, but it does seem strange that your cat is weeing wherever they want to! If your cat wees in a particular place, try putting the litter tray there as this will encourage them to use it. You may need to put down a few trays too. if this doesn't help, may be worth a trip to the vets to make sure that there is nothing wrong?

Twinklie hope the sweep goes well, got my fingers crossed that things get moving for you soon! x

    Milliebob good luck for today!

I know there are other things that I wanted to say but I really can't remember now, brain has given up! Oh, I remember something - people were talking about food and exercise. As a self-confessed gym addict, please don't worry too much about what you eat or waht exercise you do (if any) whilst you are pregnant. You have so much to deal with, what with changing bodies, hormones, tiredness etc that it is really NOT worth worrying about whether or not you have put on a little extra weight. Whilst it would be better not to eat too much junk food (in the interest of baby's health!) it's not the end of the world if you relax and just go with whatever you fancy eating! You need to listen to what your body is telling you! AS for exercise, I've written a few times that swimming and walking are the best forms whilst pregnant as they are non impact; the main thing is not to overheat whilst exercising as this can be dangerous for the baby. I haven't trained at all in weeks now and to be honest couldn't care less! I know it may be a struggle to get back into it once baby is here, but I've done it before so I just need to tell myself I can do it again!

    Eat and be merry! x
