Morning rups, hot water with honey and lemon may help your throat. That's what I have even when I'm not pregnant... I drink loads of it and it seems to work!
Twinklie hope the sweep isn't too uncomfortable and it does the trick for you today x0 -
You may want to get a baby monitor Sa-ra-ra-ra. Nappies, nappy sacks, changing mat, muslins, couple of cardigans (these may be in your friend's selection though), bottles for expressed or formula milk, baby bouncer, pushchair. That's all I can think of at the moment, but will try to have a think in case there is anything else.
Oooh...
Actually, we do have a baby monitor. And some muslins. And my mum's buying us a pushchair. I forgot about those...
Nappies + wipes and changing mats (one for downstairs, one for upstairs) are on my list, hadn't thought of anything else...
Still, it's the Aldi baby sale this week. I'll try and pick some stuff up from there!0 -

I used distilled witch hazel from the fridge poured on maternity pads stuck into the front of my knickers, so they pressed against my section wound. It was fantastic. My wound was dry and looked fairly well healed after 5 days. You can hardly find the scar now.
It's supposed to do the same for cuts/tears from normal delivery. I got it in Boots http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Pharmaceuticals-Distilled-Witch-Hazel-B-P-C-200ml-_1132125/
Weird, the details say do not use on broken skin, but the midwives in the hospital were using it and told me to use it.0 -
twinklie hope the sweep works for you today and you get to meet your little one soon.
Happy due date Mummyoftwo, hope your little one comes along soon too.
Rups I've been having weird dreams for weeks, but mine are usually about me being murdered. I apparently talk through them and DH finds it really freaky. These bumps must mess with our sleeping minds lol!Cross Stitch Cafe member no.800 -

I have some weird dreams, lately they've involved Marcus from Corrie. I think it's cos he's the only midwife on tv I know lol. One was that Sean from Corrie wanted a baby but he couldn't do it himself so Marcus delivered my baby and gave him it. The other was we tried to sell our kitten and the woman took him and refused to pay so we were all stood around her car and the stress made me pop so he took me to hospital.
OH went to work this morning and one of the neighbours was stood outside (5am) and got dead excited cos she thought I was in labour bless her.
Sararara as long as you have a means of somewhere for baby to sleep, a means of feeding, a way of transport and some nappies and things for them to wear then your fine you can buy bits as and when. I'm gonna end up not using loads of the stuff we've bought. (Still doesn't stop me looking at stuff online and buying more though lol!)
I'm now too scared to go to the loo, I've been having some pains for a few days but nothing regular but when I go to the loo I don't know if it's the position I'm sat in or gravity or just bad timing but I get the worst pains ever - and I have a high pain threshold.
KatyLiz - good luck for afternoon hun, hope you get to see someone decent who reads your notes properly this time. Our appointment is on Wednesday and I'm really really hoping that we see the same person as the last appointment as she was brilliant!
I can't remember what else I was going to say nowGood luck to all boldies x
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I'm looking at the one in the Aldi sale. Because it comes with two bottles and it's a tennerIt's a microwave one, and we have a microwave.
Ikkle, when I had my MC and ERPC whenever I went to the loo (particularly a poo) and 'pushed down', I had a really searing pain in my cervix/back area. I thought it was something to do with my cervix being open and stretching and stuff. Could it be something like that? You could be in slow labour and your cervix already starting to change in preparation before it all kicks off?
Good luck today twinklie!0
