Rups, maybe she went quiet because she had already bought something / though of buying something you mentioned? Both my husband and I go into that silent-weird looking-uncomfortable state in those situations. Could that be it?

I went to my first aquanatal yesterday, it was great, but a little demanding for me for a first lesson, I am a true couch potato. It felt like aqua-aerobics or aqua-fit, but with someone telling you what movements you should not do whilst pregnant. We have a different midwife every week, so let's see how it goes next Friday. I forgot to take lunch and I was starving by the time I managed to get home. Baby did not move much, I think the movements put her to sleep. She moves a lot more when I am resting and eating.

Somebody asked about when her partner could feel the baby. My husband started to feel her at 20-22 weeks (I think I started feeling her at around 18-19), but it required patience at first. I had a glass of fresh orange juice or fresh fruit juice, I laid down in bed for a while and my husband put his hand around my belly, after a while she would start moving. I read about that on "What to expect when you are expecting". Sometimes she reacted to our voices talking whilst in that position. At first my husband thought it was my belly rumbling or something like that, lol. Now the kicks are very obvious, and the other day baby turned around whilst he had his hand on the bump and he was quite surprised at how much she moved! If I am having a lazy day and I haven't moved around much, she would move when I am eating or immediately afterwards. If I have been walking, moving and doing stuff, she wakes up at around 10pm, when I am resting from the day.

Hope everyone slept well.

I'm still exhausted from yesterday, a whole day out seems to be too much for me now. We're off to the cinema soon, treating the kids whilst we still can. I just hope I don't fall asleep in the middle of the film!

With the reusable nappies I didn't think you actually needed to deal with all the poop. I thought they had liners that come out and the poo was just flushed down the toilet, then you wash the outer cover bits? I might be totally wrong as I've never used them, but I thought that was the way they worked. I'm sticking with disposables as I haven't replaced my tumble drier since it stopped working, and there is no way I could keep up with all the nappy washing in winter.

Rups that's a shame your MIL has been making those comments. I'm glad that your DH supported you on this one though, shows he's finally starting to see things your way a little bit.

Has anyone got any plans for today?

Hello everyone, I think its finally time we introduced ourselves I've been lurking since I've been around 5 weeks but been too chicken to actually post, especially after a bit of a scare & an early scan at around 7 weeks!

We're both 28, married for about 15mths (together for over 11yrs though!), were trying for Bean for about 16mths & had just been referred for further fertility tests after my initial bloods can back as normal when we get our BFP! We're now 20+5 so just over half way Still nervous & waiting to get to v-day but I'm feeling much better after our 20wk scan the other day. We're due Jan 29th 2013, could I please be added to the list?

It's certainly been an interesting start with the early scare, a symptomless UTI which was treated with a course of antibiotics but turned into a kidney infection anyway which I've just finished another course of antibiotics for, lovely all day sickness from 7-17wks (only actually being sick from 11-17wks though!), a ridiculous amount of dental work needed at 14wks (not fun with the all day sickness!) & a bump which is only just starting to appear but it's all good right now & we're sooooo excited I've been feeling flutters for a while & started to get some subtle prods in the last week or so but OH is getting a little frustrated as he still can't feel them properly yet He thinks he felt one the other night but wasn't sure

So that's us Anything I've forgotten just ask!

katyliz, yes thats how it works with the reuseable nappy liners. V easy to use and like you said, everything else just goes in the washing machine.

My baby shower was really good! Had such a laugh, lots of games and silliness and LOADS of amazing presents. Cant believe how much we were spoilt

I really need to get a move on and sort my hospital bags out. Just cant seem to get motivated :cool:

Emsaint how bloody rude queue jumping!! Beautiful name though, hope you are both ok.

I had really bad trotts last night and got a little excited on case this was it, but it wasn't the big clear out. Boo. Looks like I'm having the sweep tomorrow then.

DH is being lovely and making me mash and beans because I need it. He's meant to be going to the gym but I was going to cry so he said he would feed me first. I'm not really sleeping at the minute because I just can't get comfy and my hips hurt. I'm sooo grumpy. x
