hello ladies.. just had some toast and milk lol..
minted, good luck for your scan.:) it happens and i forget stuff so badly that even my work is suffering and i keep sending stuff to clients with mistakes. oops... i had to say to a client that i have preg brain. lol. i cant cant wait to leave..:)
marta and mlbarrett, you both have such interesting topics you are researching. as much as i miss research i dont think i could do it now. so i rate you guys for doing it and taking a break does sound good. i was enrolled for a self study nutrition course and i cant be bothered to finish that now. so bad and i have paid for it as well.
ooh i never do my pelvic exercises too. i always think i will i will but forget. oops..i also need to buy more leggings as only have a pair of comfy ones and one summery ones. the jeans really annoyed me. i had to keep pulling them up.
am sleepy and am ready to go to bed. spoke to my sis in law earlier. her sister is giving birth in November and already her baby room etc is ready. when she asked me how our preps were going, i started moaning about the BIL. oops... so i ended up being stressed again that dh is so chilled out and we are 15 weeks away!! eek!!!Became Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

I think we always find other people's research more interesting lol. I was going to wait, but fees were going to increase and I decided to register before they did. I was not completely ready to go back to uni but I could not pay it later on and I want to get a more permanent teaching job than the one I have now. I trained abroad and I haven't been able to find a long term position after years living here because my induction period was abroad, theoretically it should not be like that because they revognized my qualifications and gave me the official uk one, but in reality it goes down to the fact that I have not been in charge of a classroom in the uk and thus I cannot give examples of dealing with parents, evaluating a child's improvement throughout the year, etc. As my teaching qualification was officially recognized, they don't allow me either to do the uk training because it counts as done, I have an uk teaching number. My degree is not very transferable either, and at 34 I cannot really start training all over again, so I am self funding the phd hoping that it will open new doors and it will get me a permanent job. I love my current one but I get very short contracts (10 weeks) without sick pay and they are not even guaranteed, I cannot really rely on this job if I have a family. For a start, I have not got SMP, so I have to apply for the government funded one. So that was the main reason to go back to uni, I chose something I like but at the moment my motivation levels are not too good!
Oh, I haven't started with the baby's room either. She will sleep with us for a few months, so I am taking it easy.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

I think I got my weeks wrong ( again), I don't seem to get them right. Apparently I start week 28 tomorrow. EDD is week 40, isn't it? I was counting the day of my last period as "week 1", but that was wrong because it should have been "0". I have been living and reading a week ahead for ages!Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Morning everyone!
It's Saturday :j. Another week just gone by and we are closer to hold our little ones in our safe and warm arms.
Ladies, my GP asked me if I want to have the flu jab at the end of this month. I wasn't too sure so I said I will think about it. I always have it and it always protected me against flu. Even my husband has it now as he so the benefit (every year he had flu except the last 2 as he had the flu jab). Is anyone having the flu jab this year?fluffnutter wrote: »Here's what's not normal...
Giving birth to a different species, e.g. cat, aardvark.
Baby bump growing out of your shoulder, not your tum.
Craving poo and dust.
Pretty much anything else goes. Chillax before I come to Croydon (please, God, no) and slap you
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Fluffnutter your posts are brilliant. You always make me laugh! How are you?
dizsie I'll have to work that long as I want to get my bonus(which I will get it once I'll reach my target). No one force me to work that long but it's in my one interest. I'll see what will happen but if everything goes as planned (give birth after Christmas), I should be alright.

Aida I think it's mostly recommended for pregnant ladies to have the flu jab x
Taken from the NHS site:Pregnant women
It is recommended that all pregnant women should have the flu vaccine, whatever stage of pregnancy they're in.
This is because there is good evidence that pregnant women have an increased risk of developing complications if they get flu, particularly from the H1N1 strain.
Studies have shown that the flu vaccine can be safely and effectively given during any trimester of pregnancy. The vaccine does not carry risks for either the mother or baby. In fact, studies have shown that mothers who have had the vaccine while pregnant pass some protection to their babies, which lasts for the first few months of their lives. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Congrats kittycat and bellola!
Aida - I'd asked mw about baby thermometer and she told me just to get a cheapo digital underarm one from Boots for a fiver so that's what I'm doing. Plus I've read that the ear ones aren't very accurate anyway.
Someone had asked about AFM meaning 'as for me' - I don't think anyone has replied but I think you're right, at least that's how I use it!
There was something else I wanted to say but completely forgot. Baby brain is very bad at the moment, sometimes I start telling something to someone and forget halfway through. Oops. I'm off to do some cleaning around the house.
DH told me last night that all I talk about is baby or baby related so I"m going to make an extra effort not to talk about baby at all this weekend as it's his birthdayWe have a busy day ahead of us with taking the dog out, going shopping for his prezzie and dinner out. I'm looking forward to it
Have a good day everyone!:jBaby girl born 3rd October 2012:j0 -
I am not having the flu jab. I have a very week inmune system, every time I have a jab, I have a reaction and end up having the illness I was vaccinating against! Good side is that I have had every single children's illness, so I should now be inmune to all of them! Not comfortable either with the mix messages about its safety in pregnancy. I'm same Marta, always react to jabs etc, my children aren't allowed to have the tb skin test in schools either as I've had tb and so they automatically have the antibodies in their blood. xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
