was just watching a driving dvd to check out soe manouvres. got my test tomorrow. eek!

emweaver, be strong. it is never easy and they get so grumpy (no excuse) but my dh gets like that at times and the things that come out of his mouth are so nasty and bitter.

i know its not easy to hear these things. i get s oupset but when we are both calm i try and talk (even though it ends up in another argument). grrr.

Student-thanks so much for your birth story.. Made me laugh at bits and I'm going to make my DH read it so he semi knows what to expect!

Rups-good luck for your test tomorrow... I'm sure you'll be fine though!

Emweaver- hugs to you, I'm sorry your oh is being so mean, he may not even realise he is doing it... I hope you manage to talk to him to explain how you feel.

DH and I went shopping today, I actually bought nappies, wipes and some plain sleepsuits... Not much but it's a start! I felt really strange putting nappies in my trolley!
I just watched one born:twins and triplets and cried loads! It made me think of you cake.. You're the only person I know of having a multiple birth.
I'm starting to feel more movement now, just gutted that DH can't feel them yet-think he's a bit gutted too

Hi elisabeth!
If you started feeling it, it won't be long until he can. I started to feel mine quite early, at 18-19 weeks but oh kept thinking it was my stomach rumbling or something like that, I think! What works for me is drinking fresh fruit juice and laying down with my hands aroun the belly and press slightly. She always moves that way. OH is scared of applying any pressure whatsoever but mw does it quite hard by comparison! She also reacts to some tv sounds and voices, I think!

Morning all!

Another one who watched OBEM last night - one of the ladies from NCT antenatal classes is having twins and having an elective caesarean tomorrow! :jShe's having a boy and a girl.

Got aquanatal today at 12, so looking forward to that. Hope the twin mummy makes it today too (she was the one who told me about the class), but she's got loads to do in preparation for tomorrow, so she may not. Would be nice to see her beforehand if she can though.

I'm feeling a bit worried at the moment that Bean may have turned himself around, as I'm not feeling the pressure that I felt in my pelvis before, and I can definitely feel movements etc across my whole tummy (horizontally). I don't know if it's possible for babies at this stage to move from head-down. Let's hope he hasn't moved and it's just that he's more engaged, and that I make it to the next mw appointment (21st) to find out before I go into labour.

Don't worry hun, the exact same thing has been happening to me! Baby was 3/5 at 38 weeks and then over the last two weeks I have had less pelvic pain and more pressure across my tummy. I was starting to think baby had popped out of position but he is still firmly head down and ready to go so chances are it's the same for you too!

emweaver big hugs, hope you and the OH sort things out. Not excusing his behaviour, but I am sure he doesn't mean it and hopefully he will realise how difficult he has been and will give you lots more support soon.

AFM, just been to Tesco and Asda early this am to get a few bits and pieces and managed to get some goodies for BIL + girlfriends Christmas present (Chocoholics hamper - have £30 worth of stuff so far but paid about £20 for it). OH thinks I am mad but I have practically done all my shopping for friends and family (apart from my parents who I am struggling to think of things for this year!) so I have turned my attention to OH's family now! He likes it because he doesn't know what to get them and leaves it til the last few days before Christmas in any case!

Got all the nappies to put away and then going to try and clear out some more of the spare room - got to keep busy today cos I'm not a boldie and I don't want to get frustrated by the fact that little one is not here yet!
