yes so weird how things are done differently! I dont see the point of seeing the GP but i was told i had at at 25 weeks. so its the usual really.. BP, wee and measure? lol. well i havent been measure before so that is a new thing.
I had that buzzing feeling again in my belly! what is it i wonder? its so weird.
You're going to give birth to a bee. Or more likely, it's a buzzing feeling in your belly. You're pregnant; anything's possible! It's not sinister."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

I had the MW at 24 weeks, and it was just the normal visit stuff - BP, wee check. No fundal height measurement here, not sure if they don't bother doing it as it's so inaccurate? They just feel my tummy and say the fundus is where they expect it to be! At 24 week appointment my MW gave me all the forms for my 28 week tests and booked me in for the GTT. I then arranged my next appointment for 29 weeks so we could go through all the results.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

The sickness is really getting me down now ladies L The baby is so wriggly that he jiggles up my belly and makes me feel so ill and I am still being sick every day… not fair!
I also have a horrendous headache…like a dull ache in my frontal lobe but the thought of taking a painkiller is making me be sick and I just can’t handle being sick anymore today… going to the wee every 45 mins so def drinking enough though.
Sorry this is tuning into a bit of a pity post but I am feeling very ‘poor me’ at the moment… on top of that just found out our move has fallen through so will not be moved before baby is here so will be with baby in a 1 bed flat and because the weather gets so bad where we live in winter I don’t want to risk a move in Jan/Feb time so we will be in the flat until March time at least (baby is due November) which is such a pain in the butt because it means moving loads of stuff around and I’m not sure where we are going to put everything…aarrggghhhh!
I’m lucky that my Mr is so amazing though because I know when I get home to him tonight my stresses will melt away because he is so good and looks after me

Had a good appt with my consultant today. She gave me a quick scan, all looking good. I know I am 13+3 but hosp has me at 14+1; apparently they'll decide properly what I am at 20 week scan. Sigh. But anyway, consultant wants to do CDS at 38 weeks so it's kind of irrelevant...
Could you add me to the list? I will go with my original due date for now, which is March 12. Thank you.0 -
Enjoy the appointment Rups. I must admit I do find nearly all of my MW appointments pointless. All she does is test the wee and BP, then measures bump (from 28 weeks onwards). It would be worthwhile if she was the only care I had, but where I am at the hospital all the time it just isn't worth seeing her. They've agreed I don't have to see her anymore as my CTG's are always a couple of hours after I'm supposed to see her, and they do more obs and care than she would.
I think the fundal height is terribly inaccurate LittleMoog. For the last 5 or so weeks I've been measuring at 30, no going up, and yesterday I was apparently 35! No way I've suddenly got that much bigger in the 3 days since it was last written down! I notice every MW that measures me (10 different ones now) push at different places when taking the measurement.
Fluff I must have unusually terrible instincts too. I was adamant that my daughter was a boy, and totally certain that my son was a girlThis time I told everyone I thought it was a girl, but that was really to put people off my way of thinking. In my head I was sure I was getting another boy, so I faced the usual shock at the scan!
Hugs dizsie it's horrible when everything seems to get on top of you, it must be awful still being sick this late on. That's great that your OH is so lovely thoughLooking on the bright side with the flat situation having a baby in a one bed isn't the end of the world. It's not until they become mobile that they start to need more space, and babies share your room anyway for months. Also there are loads of space saving solutions for storage etc. I always wished we'd stayed in our 1 bed longer. We moved out when I was 8 months pregnant with my daughter to a 2 bed house, and for the extra £200 a month rent we paid it just wasn't worth it.

It's my last day at work today - woo hoo! Been at the same place for 10 years now so seems very strange to be leaving, been spoilt with flowers and lots of vouchers to spend on the little one :j
Also had a good consultant appointment who said the baby is very low (engaged) but they didn't say any more than that just that I don't need to see them again unless I reach 41 weeks when I have a provisional appointment for a stretch & sweep.
Very strange measurements for me too, every time I'm measured I'm one week under so at 34 weeks was 33, but today at 36 weeks she wrote down 39 weeks, surely that can't be right?!Team pink due 5th Oct '12 :T0 -
Enjoy your maternity leave Carrie
Have you still got lots to do to get ready for baby or are you all organised? That's great that your appointment went well, hopefully baby will arrive before you need the sweep!
