  • Morocha - scan is on the 19th I think. I think you and I are fairly close on due dates too aren't we? Bit nervous about it as DS was born with a congenital heart defect - not serious but bit of a shock so hoping they have a good look. Anything there may not be found until after birth though - going to ask for junior to be scanned when born just to check. As far as we know it wasn't hereditary so fingers crossed all is ok.

My quad test results came back as low risk (don't have a nuchal scan here but was offered the quad test due to my age) so have relaxed a bit - I know that doesn't mean that everything is ok but it does make me relax a little.

Here's hoping it doesn't get any worse than last time KatyLiz as i was practically housebound at the end! Have fun at the shops!

  • Aw fluff - you are another one who totally brightens up my day when you post gems like that! Thats a story for Freddie's future intended! :D

I wish I had an instinct this time. I would like a girl but the MSE'r in me knows that a boy would be better as I have loads of boy clothes. Plus I have to confess i would be very chuffed for DS to have a little brother.

Rups - I must confess that i washed nothing for DS when he was born - he wore it straight out of the wrappings! bad mummy! :) Lol!

fluff, that one was a good one ! I didnt know that... well in two weeks we will know if i was right...

    Rups, madeira cake yummy

neph, i am 19 wks today and they do not do the nuchal test here, so had the triple screening done a week ago, she said bad results should arrive in 2 weeks, good results in 3 weeks, so if everything is ok i should be getting them around the time that i have my anomaly scan.

they check your wee, your bp and sometimes measure your bump, thats it lol
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

  • My theory is - always bring a pee pot! :p

Things seem to be a bit different over here Rups. I just see my MV at 25 weeks and just the usual wee dipped, BP done, HB listened to and any concerns discussed. Don't think I saw my GP after the inital apptmt last time either until my PGP got so bad i needed a referral for physio. that was it! It's funny how much things differ in different areas!

Morocha - I was told 7-10 working days for results but got them well within the 2 weeks. They phoned me with the results. But as above - everywhere seems to do things a little differently. I find it interesting how things are done over the water!

I had that buzzing feeling again in my belly! what is it i wonder? its so weird.
