    Morning ladies :)

Lady Morticia not sure if you're still looking for a dress, but I got an email from Tesco's last night with this dress which is almost identical in design to the Phase Eight one that I bought on Sa-ra-ra-ra's recommendation (but considerably cheaper! :p) Bit different to most of the maternity dresses I've seen. The style is really flattering, and gives bump a lovely shape.

We had our first NCT class last night, was really good and all the other couples seem really nice. Didn't cover much factually, it was more for us to talk about our perceptions/expectations of labour etc and to break the ice. Next session a week on saturday and it's a whole day.

Slept well again, starting to feel much more like myself. Makes me worry a bit about the sleep deprivation after Beanie arrives as I was pretty non-functional for most of the week. Guess having to get dressed and come to work/appear human & sane/use my brain for work won't be a problem when I'm on ML though :rotfl:

Oh 2 questions as I am going fabric shopping this morning, need to justify the cost of the sewing machine I bought last year!

    1. Exactly what is muslin material wise? Can I just buy the softest cotton and make squares from this?

    2. How much bedding does everyone have, and what material? We have moses basket and blankets, now just need mattress protectors and sheets. I am thinking of 2 protectors, 2 cotton sheets and 2 terry/fleecy ones. Is that enough and the right thing?

Are you in the sewing group on facebook hun they may be able to help you? It might not be cost effective to make your own muslins but if your looking for excuses to use your machine then there are lots of options - taggie blankets, plushie toys, bibs, quilts etc.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

    morning ladies..

grr my post just vanished so have to write it again. double grr!!!

    sorry.. lol

thank you for the links and all the info on sales. will have a look when get bored working. lol. am working from home today and the carpet man is here and measuring up! so exciting! :0) slept a bit better and it def helped not waking up earlier to go into work. :) woke up for one wee stop and then was changing positions but feel slightly better than usual.

also i had a 'chat' with hubby last night. he can be so weird though. he thinks stuff and keeps it in his head and assumes me to read his mind or know. as he said he thinks logically and was implyig that i dont. so our chat became an arguement when i brought up his brother. he said he has just finished paying his mum back (we borrowed money for the wedding last year) and now he needs money for the car and also bits and bobs. he is happy with me looking for stuff and him paying for it and he said his brother's rent money is helping us at the mo and we can use that. i didnt see it fit to argue anymore and i said he was being very stubborn not listening to my view as i want that room ready and he said it will be ready. so i said what if the baby comes early, and he said he will move out. so anyway there was me trying to put my foot down but it didnt really work. i supose the money makes sense. i have just booked the nct course which wasnt cheap and am buying bits and bobs. well as long as he is happy with me buying stuff, i will do that and i said it is his responsibilty then to sort the rest out! i tried not to lose my temper. sigh. all i said was that we are in this together and his communication is crap! sorry long post..

Do you have a link to the f/b group that sounds great. Definitely is cheaper to make your own, if I get what I think is the right material I worked out it would cost about £2.99 for 10 50x50 muslins, which are £12.99 for 6 in mothercare. I have made some stuff already, padded blanket for putting on the floor, lots of applique animals for the plain white sleepsuits due to my aversion to all things gender specific, plus tonnes of knitting. Just down to the boring practical things now
