  • Morning all. Hope everyone is doing ok. Many congrats to all the new arrivals. I have read and inwardly digested all news and events! I will say though rjh - well done - my first was 10lb 10oz born naturally as well. Bit of a shock for the midwives who all came in to have a gawp at him when he was born as they couldn't quite believe a woman with size 3 feet could manage a child that size with no intervention. I didn't know any different! I actually am not bothered if this one is the same size so long as I can have a similar labour and delivery!

Decided I needed to post more. I do try and then for ages I think that I don't have anything useful/interesting to say so go quiet and lurk every day! Sorry - will try harder!

However, will make more of an effort! I am now 20 weeks today - where did that go? Would someone be able to add me to the list - due 25th Jan 13? I'll mess it up if I try - I can just about get logged in without creating problems - lol!

Annoyingly I haven't really felt any movement (thought I might have as this is baby no 2) as apparently placenta is to the front so am hoping everything is ok as I just look as if I'm a bit pudgy - no real bump. 20 week scan in 2 weeks time but not thinking about it.

Rups - hang in there. DH will eventually see just how much work will be involved. Unfortunately it may not be until after bubs has arrived but he'll learn. I totally get your frustration - it would drive me bonkers too!

Hi 2b - glad to see you over here - I have been lurking on the less than board as well (and the TTC one!) to see how everyone was getting on.

Morocha - you have totally put me in the mood for cake but have no chance of getting any. Wonder could i get some later without DH looking disapproving? (he's not bad but is helping me watch that I don't put too much weight on this time as it can affect my muscle weakness)

Candycane - for DS we had a crib and had 4 fitted sheets, 4 flat sheets and 4 cellular blankets - they came as part of a set and were kind of needed when we had accidents - puking or otherwise. I think it depends on how much washing you do. One for the bed, one in the wash and one for spare was what I worked on when getting the sheets. They came in packs of 2 when I got them so had 4 sets. Eventually we put a folded muslin at the top end of the crib firmly tucked under at 3 sides (DS didn't move much at night) and this meant we could easily change the cloth in the middle of the night without stripping the bed. We didn't use a protector on the crib mattress as it was a wipe down one anyway so unnecessary. We do have a protector on his cot mattress though. Making your own should be fairly easy. I got lucky and managed to get mine in a mothercare sale for a decent price. Oh man - I'll have to get out the crib and stuff later on! Doesn't seem real yet as no real bump and no definite movement!

awwh thanks Nephthys. How have you been? long time. hope all is well. dont worry about the movement. my bubs took a while and even then i have no idea whatis going on lol. its nice to see you on here.

thanks for your advise. i am going to have to let go of that matter as i dont want to get stressed. all i told him is that as long as he doesnt stress me out in the process, then its fine. so that it. i can focus on spending his money. he should count his lucky stars that i dont send him links to expensive things and am looking for bargains. lol.

i realise that i always come on here and put utter rubbish at times lol. like a diary. hehe.. sorry ladies for putting you all through that torture. :) its a lovely group here and thanks so much for the support and your advises. you all actually keep me sane. as only pregnant women would understand preg women. :) mwah xx

Don't worry, this will be my third baby and I didn't feel any movement until a couple of days before my 20 week scan. I've got the anterior placenta too and it's weird how much less I feel than I did with the posterior placenta with the other two.

Rups - don't worry, without you the board would be a very quiet place. It's good to unload any of your stresses rather than letting them build up and upset you.
