Thanks Rups. I am so ready now. Knowing my luck I'll end up going two weeks overdue though!

Thank you all for the lovely welcome.
I have been needing the loo much more then i have done with my last two kids i think its because this time i have a anterior placenta, but it could just be because its warm and i`m drinking loads lol.

Elelyn, i was 1 week over due with DD and 2 weeks over due needing to be induced with DS, its the waiting thats the worst of it and various people asking "have you had the baby yet????" i just know because this babys a boy i will need to be induced again so in my head am ready for my baby to come around the 7th of january lol.

Rups i think you will win lol!

ah bless lozzy, i hope your little one is on time as is mine. people are already telling me that the 1st is always late. who knows how true that is? My DH's family are catholics so they keep saying 'what if it is born on Xmas day?'. lol

  • Thanks Rups, my back seems ok at the moment. I still haven't moved from the sofa yet though :o Not that it's an excuse, but I'm full of cold at the moment and today seems to be a wheezing and coughing day.

Elelyn, hope it starts happening for you soon...fingers crossed :D I already can't wait to meet my baby, so I can't imagine how it must feel when you start to think it might actually be happening.

    Morning all,

Congrats to Rups and Lozzy on reaching V day :j! It all tends to go by a bit quickly from now on!

Update from me. I am 39+2 today and this morning thought something was happening. About 2am I went to the loo and had a bit of pink discharge when I wiped which I thought might be a "show". Got up at 7am feeling a bit damp and thought my waters may have sprung a leak. Went and emptied my bladder, more pinky discharge. Then went straight to bedroom to get a pad and some fluid just dripped out of me before I could even get the pad on! I was convinced that my waters had gone - I hadn't wet myself because I'd only just emptied my bladder. It wasn't a great deal of water that came out though so I waited a couple of hours but then decided to call the hospital anyway to see what they said. The midwife told me to put a pad on and wait an hour. If it was my waters they would continue to leak and the pad would be wet. However, since then there has been nothing so it looks like it wasn't my waters after all. It must have been a massive amount of watery discharge or something. I'm disappointed now as I really thought I was on the way, although it did panic me slightly at the time :o I just really want to meet my baby boy now.

I think I'm going to bounce on my ball for a bit to see if that gets anything shifting...

Hope everyone is having a good day.

I quite often get a little flood of watery discharge right after I've been for a wee in the last few weeks :o I thought it was wee at first, but after a bit of investigating with a liner, it doesn't smell like wee (sorry tmi!)
Fingers crossed it's the start of your show though, if it's not been happening before now :)

I'm 39 weeks today. I've not had a show yet either. In fact aside from bloomin' skin tags and stretch marks that have appeared EVERYWHERE I haven't had much of anything. I am getting a few sharp pains in my belly, but this has been happening for weeks now. Plus keep getting sore boobs - pre period style pains.

I don’t think all firsts are late… all the babies in my family are early and obviously some of us were firsts!

Rups tell them not to panic as historians have proved that Jesus wasn’t actually born on 25th December anyway…that will probably upset them though. Plus a 25th December baby could be called Noelle (if a girl) and I think that’s a lovely name!

Please please please can you all go on changing mat watch for me?? No pastel colours…brights only J Can be block colour or spots etc to go with my hungry caterpillar theme! Or failing that a plain white one?
