Congratulations on v-day lozzy (welcome) and Rups!

Well I never did pack my hospital bag last night lol - got out my dressing gown and found that it'd been so long since I'd worn it, that it'd become covered in dust in my wardrobe, so it's been washed and is now in the tumble dryer. I also tried to print out the SMA checklist last night and for some unknown reason, it decided to print the box without the actual list inside it! So Moon and I made our own list (adapting the one on there) inside. Just need to get on with it now!

Just been having a catch up from the weekends posts J there is so much on here compared to usual so I have a long reply to add to it…

Welcome to MayforHer – another one in team blue J There seem to be so many boys this year on here and in my group of friends and colleagues!

I think the nail place you mean Rups is called Lillies and is just across from the carpark entrance? I go in there a lot too as they are quite quick and cheap but I think it does smell strong in there… there is one close to my mums that isn’t so bad so I tend to pop in there when I go to get mine done. Also… please don’t take this the wrong way but sometimes I want to slap your OH, the things you tell us make him sound really selfish sometimes he is lucky you put up with him!!! I wouldn’t… Oh and happy V day (and to Lozzy88 too)

To those of you considering a Doppler… I will say again that whilst I do love mine, sometimes it can be hard to find the heartbeat which can panic you more so they are not great if you are already a worrier…. Even the midwife struggles…mine came out with a classic when looking for a hb the other day ‘oh god I hope he’s still in there’ she said! Lucky he was kicking away so it didn’t distress me and she found it moments later but what a thing to say to a pregnant lady…!

Those of you talking about CTG graphs… is this because of previous complications or is it a standard thing as you get closer to d day? I haven’t had one or heard that I will have one?

We bought a maxi cosi car seat too but it goes with my buggy so makes my life easier and it fits in the easy base which again makes my life easier… noticing a pattern?

Ikkle you saying about grown up non-chaved car… we have a focus st3 now and oh justifies it as a family car because it has 5 doors lol… before that we had a 3dr golf gt sport so not practical with car seats in and out! My oh says he will NEVER have a jolly bus (this is what he calls people carriers) unless it is a Range Rover Vogue. Our car does only has 4 seats though so I won’t be taking passengers often.

Have a look on ebay for the changing bags ladies…you can get them for much cheaper J I now have two… lol

We also bought the big tommee tippee starter set that has a microwave steriliser and an electric one. Probably leave the microwave one at my mums house though.

Had a very embarrassing moment on Saturday when I threw up all over the toilets when out for dinner L Got it everywhere…up the walls, on the floor, on my own dress … OH was weirdly impressed that I mananged to make such a scene! We left immediately after once he had paid the bill…I was so hungry too as it all happened mid-meal L

I am really struggling to find a changing mat to fit my theme of Very Hungry Caterpillar… there is a lady on ebay who make a cloth one but I want a wipe down one. Even a solid blue or green would do (not pastel colours though) but I just can’t find one L

I am also using the changing bag as Beppe’s hospital bag. In his bag I have put:

• 4 bodysuits
• 4 sleepsuits
• 10 nappies
• Baby wipes
• Cotton wool
• 1 x Mittens 2 x hats & 1x socks (all my sleepsuits have feet in)
• Cellular blanket
• 3 x Muslin squares
• Disposable Milk Bottles with Milk
• Small Teddy
• Small plastic bowl (washing baby's face)

I am not taking a going home outfit for fear of it being stolen while I’m in the shower or something…all the outfits I am taking are the ones I bought secondhand so I won’t be heartbroken if they go missing (although I would still be very annoyed!). have only packed 10 nappies though because my hospital recommends taking 5 but I though 10 is a days worth…will chuck a pack of 27 in the boot of the car though along with some spare outfits (bag only has 4) incase I get kept in so OH can bring them in as and when I need them J I have totally packed Babies bag and started mine because the midwife told me off last week…it should all be booked from 24 weeks blah blah…usually I would roll my eyes back in my head and think that was OTT but as my friend delivered at 24 weeks and had nothing sorted I do realise there is some sense to it.

I bought 2 Naturana Nursing Bras on Ebay on Friday for just £12.03 total inc the postage. They are great (arrived on Saturday morning quick!) and I am really happy with them. I don’t know if all nursing bras work the same but that have a little pocket bit to tuck the breast pads in and the front unclips from the strap to free your nipple but keep the support under your b00b. I was so impressed by the price because I saw them on the SimplyBe website for £20 plus p&p each!!! (Seller was called Janstan2011 if that helps anybody)

OH said last night how excited he is for xmas this year because Beppe should be with us…I explained that he won’t be doing myuch but as OH doesn’t really have a family he feels like his life will be complete…cue lots of tears from me!

In my case the CTG was because of previous problems, because we've had lack of movements and they've had problems finding his heartbeat on a couple of occasions they do CTG's which are just basically ECG's but for babies. I think they do them when your in labour as well just to check baby isn't in any distress or anything.

We had a focus before, and then before that we had 2 astra's. He wouldn't have got the bus (he calls it that too lol) if it hadn't been for my auntie and the fact she's doing us a big favour, plus he's a bmx'er and mountain biker so having a bigger car is helpful for getting his bikes around.

Your hospital bag sounds pretty similar to mine, I'm quite lucky in that because everything is uber organised in babies room if I do need more for bubs in hospital he knows what to get and from what drawer etc.

I need to moan a bit.... there are two types of people in my life at the moment.
1* the ones do not know i am pregnant and when i tell them, they quite dont get it cos i have no belly.
2* the ones do know i am pregnant, can not see a belly but still ask, do you know if it is a boy or girl ? Like i am way past the stage i am in at the moment.. I know, they cant win with me, i am just such a moody cow at the moment...

DD starts school tomorrow yayyyyyyy !! AND after taking her to school, i have a hairdresser app at 9.00 am to have a hair cut and highlights.. can not wait !...
I have to say aswell, my house is a mess, and we really need to paint walls, clean carpets, do the garden, have a proper clear out, do a general cleaning, as we want to move out soon, need to get a 3 bedroom house.... These weeks will be busy and tiring for me

Aw, Ikkle, what's up with your tummy? Hope you feel better soon.

I had a weird stitch like pain up by my right ribs last night, don't know that was about but seems to have gone this morning. Thankfully my back seems to be a bit better this morning also, it went funny again last night while I was lounging on the sofa. It's like as if something slips / moves in the bottom of my spine, and I don't notice 'til I go sot up and I can't move :cool:

I bought my changing bag on ebay the other day...just waiting for it to be delivered. Feel superb guilty though as I was silly and went for the one I had set my heart on and was a lot more than I really should have spent

Probs should go and get showered and dressed and get on with something useful. Built chair for nursery yesterday, did a load of washing, changed nursery curtains, and put up bathroom lampshade. Still loads to do though, shame the list includes a bunch of stuff that I don't want to do and I keep putting them off

Congrats to Rups and Lozzy on reaching V day :j! It all tends to go by a bit quickly from now on!

Update from me. I am 39+2 today and this morning thought something was happening. About 2am I went to the loo and had a bit of pink discharge when I wiped which I thought might be a "show". Got up at 7am feeling a bit damp and thought my waters may have sprung a leak. Went and emptied my bladder, more pinky discharge. Then went straight to bedroom to get a pad and some fluid just dripped out of me before I could even get the pad on! I was convinced that my waters had gone - I hadn't wet myself because I'd only just emptied my bladder. It wasn't a great deal of water that came out though so I waited a couple of hours but then decided to call the hospital anyway to see what they said. The midwife told me to put a pad on and wait an hour. If it was my waters they would continue to leak and the pad would be wet. However, since then there has been nothing so it looks like it wasn't my waters after all. It must have been a massive amount of watery discharge or something. I'm disappointed now as I really thought I was on the way, although it did panic me slightly at the time I just really want to meet my baby boy now.

I think I'm going to bounce on my ball for a bit to see if that gets anything shifting...

yes Diszie, that is the place. they were so quick. i was shocked as the one near me on cherry orchard road takes forever even to do a manicure! it was nice though as now my toenaills are short! Lol. yes sometimes i get very annoyed with DH but i know he is freaking out and i keep reading stuff about women trying to understand how men feel too. i did tell him, he is not the only one going through life changes. we both are. its all this nonsense about enjoy your life before the baby gets here. surely its not that bad is it? men!!! you are so organised though with your bags and stuff.

i will lookon ebay for bags too, thanks for the suggestion. :0)

morocha, i know that feeling. i have been so upset by people's comments. think we have to have a comeback ready so we are left alone, as keeping quiet about it doesnt help!

too much of cod liver isnt bad, i hope? i thought i took 2 tabs rather than the recommended one!
