That's normally the idea Rups lol. They normally have a long handle which goes over the pushchair handles x

That's what I'm hoping so that it gives me a chance to try and get breastfeeding established etc. My family aren't too happy about it though. I've told Moon that he's not allowed to call anyone from the hospital when Bean is born so that this way they won't even know to randomly turn up either at the hospital or at home and we can tell them in our own time (i.e. when I'm ready).

Good thinking, sm. The day Freddie was born, all the grandparents turned up at the hospital. I was absolutely shagged; honestly I was so !!!!ed after missing two nights of sleep and a difficult labour I barely knew what was going on. It felt very intrusive to suddenly have all these people around especially as I was struggling to get F to feed (like all newborns and particularly c-section newborns he was very dopey for 36 hours or so).

If you can resist the pressure, it's really nice to have a babymoon, just you, Moon and Bean.

    Welcome mayforher.

Well I've decided I really can't put off packing hospital bag any longer as I'm 37 weeks today, and I think (keeps fingers crossed that pregnancy brain hasn't made me forget something) that I have everything I need now to put in it. I'm off to find the SMA hospital bag list as it's one of the best ones I've seen on my travels with email reminders. Will post a link on here when I find it if anyone is interested.

Just done the food shop with Moon and ended up getting frusli bars for Moon as they're only 99p at the moment as they're half price, so he's having some of those as snacks for the hospital. Have told him that the snacks will need to go in his bag as he won't need to take much as he can always pop home for anything he needs (e.g. shower etc) although I do want him to stay overnight with me (they allow this in my hospital although it's only on reclinable chairs rather than pull-out beds etc).

Moon is cooking dinner as we speak (had quite a late lunch today so not that hungry still).

Had some lower back ache as we were walking around MrT, so starting to think that maybe I won't go overdue as I suspected after all (although sod's law will probably dictate that I will now I've said that lol).

Hugs to all who want or need them, labour vibes where appropriate.

    sexymouse xx

PS I made Moon rehearse a script to tell the people he shoots with today not to call and that he won't be shooting for quite a while now cos baby could come from any time onwards, and that he'll contact one of two people by email that can tell everyone when the baby arrives, so hopefully this'll stop lots of phonecalls to see if he's coming shooting each week etc.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

  • Hi all, sorry I post so infrequently but life really is getting in the way of my lazing, internet time ;)

Currently I'm working 7 days a week, 5 days normal 8-4 then catering for my local cricket clubs teas of a weekend and it's starting to become a struggle though there's only 3 weeks till the season ends thank god!

Mr DDB and I are also in the process of buying a house which is adding to the stress lol, but hopefully we're exchanging during this coming week so a little of the anxiety should ease! We live with my parents atm which has been fab for saving money but our own space will be very very welcome!

Pregnancy is going really well, loving it all still lol, bubs is a real fidget & goes all day and as a result she catches up on her sleep at night meaning I can too :T so enjoying that whilst it lasts! Have 5 appointments over the next fortnight between seeing the midwife, consultant, growth scan and anti-d injection so will be a busy bee but as they're all am appointments I get layins as get half days off of work for all so not complaining!

Congratulations to all those who've joined since I last posted & massive congrats to those who are having cuddles too! Will read back a few pages to try & catch up with you chatterboxes lol x
