*dashes over from newborn thread* I'm not going to get into the breastfeeding debate but I will second Fluff's comment above re "correct latch = no pain" I was really lucky with bf and had no problems but for the first couple of weeks the first 5-10 seconds were quite painful, I used to sort of involuntarily curl up a bit with it - lift my feet off the floor, hunch over - but after a week or two it was fine.

Moral of the story - having a little monster sucking on your bits umpteen times a day is going to cause some degree of discomfort until you're used to it. If in doubt speak to a BFing advisor.

Breastfeeding doesn't hurt if he latched correctly but the initial clamping down hurts like hell!

ouch ouch... rjh. just realised you are in Cardiff. where about do you live? i went to uni there for a year before my ex put the pressure of me moving back to London. I really liked it as well and lived in Roath.:)

My eldest used to suck them in like spaghetti and then half way through feeding turn to look over his shoulder with my nipple still in his mouth :eek: little toad did it every time and i never saw it coming to stop him in time.

My twin bf-pillow arrived yesterday. Its absolutely huge! Ordered it from america as it worked out half the price even with delivery + import tax. And the car seats and mattresses arrived this morning :j. Feels like its all coming together! OH laid the underlay and carpet in the nursery yesterday too and put a cot and changing table up. Im getting so excited :rotfl:

Had a friend round this afternoon, she needed to bake 60 brownies for a wedding she is going to tomorrow, but she doesnt bake so I said I would do them for her. Felt absolutely shattered when she went, having to wear my bump band round the house now too :cool:. Only get to see her every few months as she lives down south. She was amazed I have lost weight but have such a bump!

Whoever it was said that the baby wriggling feels like a bag of snakes, thats exactly what mine feels like:rotfl:. They dont have room to kick properly anymore so its mostly lots of wriggling and stretching. My bump fascinates me most days with the shapes it ends up in!

Got our 1st antenatal class in the morning. Im quite nervous!

hmm i want some dessert now lol.

just being thinking about baby stuff and getting a bit annoyed. been so grumpy for the past few days. lol. its only cos brother in law is in the room and i am wondering what to do now!!! i showed DH a furniture set from mothercare which is on sale. he just said yes good. i want to buy it which is why i showed it to him.
